  1. Just so I can have a reference to look back on as far as my off-season wishlist: - Fire Greg Walker - Trade Javy - Trade Paulie - Trade for Brian Roberts - Sign Casey Blake - Sign some under the radar Bullpen guy who could be good....
  2. I laughed pretty much the ENTIRE half hour last night. Bill Murray? C'mon. Hahah
  3. Athlete's almost always SUCK. Peyton Manning was actually one of the best ones. There were a bunch of great sketches in his episode. Johnny Mosely was also kinda good. The hosts that are the best are people with stage experience in their past. Because it's basically live theater. And for some reason, British people always rock haha

QUOTE (Heads22 @ Oct 9, 2008 -> 09:51 AM) Oberst's music is a little too weird for me now. Eh, he's always been kind of an weird dude. I still dig this solo album, and love Cassadaga. He can really do no wrong in my eyes...
  5. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Oct 8, 2008 -> 09:02 AM) Yeah, I enjoyed that skit. Seriously, I've been telling everyone, SNL is hilarious this year. It's been good for a couple years now. Ever since Hader, Samberg and Sudekis started to shine it's been awesome. Put it's like the trendy thing to do to hate SNL. but people dont realize it's been on for 30 plus years. They're gonna have little chunks of time where it's good and when it's bad. And it's not going anywhere any time soon. It beats MADTV every weekend and that it's only competition....
  6. "Say Hi to your motha for me, okay?"
  7. 2B Brian Roberts 1B Nick Swisher LF Carlos Quentin DH Jim Thome RF Jermaine Dye SS Alexei Ramirez C AJ Pierzynski 3B Casey Blake CF Brian Anderson SP Mark Buehrle SP Gavin Floyd SP John Danks SP __________ SP Aaron Poreda Bullpen: Bobby Jenks Scott Linebrink Matt Thornton Octavio Dotel Clayton Richard D.J. Carrasco Now of course I have no clue how we'd magically acquire Roberts with out trading Poreda, but whatever haha

Upcoming Concerts for me: 10/14: Weezer at the Forum 10/23: Conor Oberst & The Mystic Valley Band 11/5: Coheed & Cambria - "In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: III" night of the Neverender Debating on going to see Rise Against/Alkaline Trio/Thrice on Halloween. Not a fan of Rise Against, or the venue, but HUGE Alkaline and Thrice fan, plus on halloween you know costumes will be involved. The Alkaine/Thrice sets wont be long so thats a negative....who knows....
  9. For 3B, here's my wish list: 1.) Sign Casey Blake. Though he may have priced himself out of the Sox range with his stellar play in LA. 2.) Trade for Adrian Beltre. His glove is already solid, and I think a change of scenery/playing in The Cell will ignite him. Plus I'm sure playing for a Latin manager might help. he seems like the kind of player where that would make a difference... And if all else fails 3.) Re-sign Uribe at a lower price and hopefully like 30 lbs less
  10. You have to keep Swisher. He's signed long term for pretty cheap for one, and give him a consistent position, like say 1B after we trade Paulie, and a consistent spot in the line-up and he'll be fine. We need OBP guys, and Swish Thome and CQ are the only guys who appear to be able to take a walk right now, so the more the better...
  11. Roberts Ramirez Quentin A boy can dream can't he?
  12. My only contribution to this thread haha
  13. QUOTE (Princess Dye @ Oct 6, 2008 -> 09:07 AM) Plus coming back next year. Not a chance in hell.

Seth Myers had a great line on Weekend Update on Saturday: "OJ Simpson was found guilty Friday on charges of armed robbery, assault and kidnapping…but really, murder." Hahah
  15. Anyone got a stooge channel for a brother?
  16. He's not a starter, but he could be a hell of a guy out of the pen. Seemed like every time he'd start he'd have a solid first 4 innings or so then fall apart. That has bullpen written all over it.
  17. Richard's gonna look nice coming out of the pen next year....
  18. Hey, stop pitching to Longoria....
  19. anyone know which stooge channel it's on?
  20. My feed died right before the HR haha
  21. Yeah, they keep showing that one old lady, wearing a Santa hat in October for some reason. They are gonna show her drop dead on the air at this pace....
  22. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Oct 1, 2008 -> 04:05 PM) 7. It was good for a while, but getting really choppy. Thank you sir....
  23. ^What stooge channel is it on?
  24. "The facts were these...." If you're awesome, you know what I'm quoting and whats coming back tonight...
