I put this in the game thread. Entire Bullpen: Pitched SOLID. Liney looked good as did Dotel. JD: 1-5 with a Double and a Run. Griff: DNP Thome: 2-5 HR 2 Runs. Swish 2-4 Hmmmm Think we gotta start putting more people on notice till the end of the season. Rally Colbert?

Actually, I changed my mind, I want it to say "Wild Card, b****es!" haha
-
Wild Card b****es! The second episode ruled so hard.

QUOTE (joesaiditstrue @ Sep 18, 2008 -> 03:41 PM) clayton richard will be on the playoff roster, out of the bullpen, per ozzie just now Good. He will be a welcome addition to that pen. Hopefully next year too.

I know there are some Coheed & Cambria fans on the board, any of you guys going to the Neverender in Chicago? I'm going to the "In Keeping Secrets..." night here in LA.

QUOTE (shipps @ Sep 17, 2008 -> 11:58 AM) Why do you have a problem with the OC,I love it there? Gage you should change it to I LOVE ORANGE COUNTY! LOL He knows what he did.....haha

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 17, 2008 -> 10:51 AM) I disagree. Shadow of the Day is dogs***. I like their heavier stuff though. Their "heavy" stuff is the by-product of a dead genre. It's funny that they are the only band to survive the Rap-Metal craze of the late 90's early 2000's.....
-
Since I'm not really a straight up metal head anymore Can I get Resident Metal Head changed to "I Hate Orange County". Jason, can you do that? Huh? Can you?
-
Richard might be a hell of a addition to the 'pen since he can only get through about 4 innings before he implodes....
-
You know, I've realized as far as Linkin Park singles go, when they try and rock out it's nothing special or original. Just bland heavy music, but there ballad-y songs like "Shadow of the Day" or "Leave out All the rest" are really good. Such an odd combo.
-
What the hell is the obsession with Richard? Give Broadway a f***ing shot. I think Richard's failed enough.....
-
I ran into Joshua Radin at a bar on Saturday actually. He's a super nice dude. I've seen him like 4 or 5 times live.....

man I remember when MTV not only showed videos, but the non-video programming they did show f***ing RULED. The State Dead at 21 MTV Oddities (The Head and The Maxx were awesome) Beavis and Butthead (Kinda cheating since it showed videos too) Liquid Television the ONLY good thing about MTV these days is Human Giant

QUOTE (The Critic @ Sep 16, 2008 -> 11:06 AM) If by "sellout" you mean "best", then yes, it is their sellout album. Haha. I really like it as well. The production is what does it for me. I like the previous stuff, but the production is ASS. I know it's supposed to be a DIY Punk kinda thing, but if those songs had New Waves production? Holy s***.

QUOTE (The Critic @ Sep 16, 2008 -> 08:46 AM) Machine Head - A Nation On Fire This is My Work Friendly Mix, as I am at, you guessed it, work. So no metal on this one. 1. Colin Hay - Overkill (Acoustic) Always reminds me of Scrubs, as it should. 2. The Killers - Move Away Literally the best part of Spider-Man 3 3. Sheryl Crow - Strong Enough Cry....Cry....Cry....I'll never be strong enough to be her man 4. Thrice - The Arsonist Weird that FIRE was the weakest album (or Element) from the Alchemy Index. 5. Jimmy Eat World - Bleed American I just love this band. This song rocks live. 6. Alkaline Trio - This Could Be Love This song is a fun sing-along live. And Matt made us sing the "Love for Fiiiiiiiiiire" part at the end, good times. Also great for the shout out to Lake Michigan 7. Mad Season - X-Ray Mind Wish these guys could have put out more than one album. I almost like Layne's voice more on this than AIC 8. Against Me! - Piss and Vinegar I'm so late to the party with this band, and I'm sure I suck by listening to them in reverse order (New Album first, then back catalog) but they are awesome either way. I love New Wave, but supposedly that's their "sell out" album? 9. Matchbox Twenty - 3 AM A song thats part of my 90's hits playlist. I always think of Jimmy Fallon's Halloween of this Song 10. Green Day - The Grouch I think Nimrod is a Very underrated album. There's some great tracks on here including this one. BONUS!! 11. mewithoutYou - Messes of Men While they are a Christian band, and I would in fact burst into flames if I stepped foot in a church, I did these guys a lot. It's more questioning God then preaching, and this guy writes some GREAT lyrics. Well phrased, just original sound in general.

Before it would piss me off when the Sox would blow a golden opprotunity to gain some ground, but the Twins are just simply running out of games... If the Sox can take 2 of 3 from them in the s***dome the division is theirs.... And once you get in the playoffs anything can happen.

QUOTE (shipps @ Sep 13, 2008 -> 06:54 PM) Popped in At the Drive In today and realized they did a great disservice to themselves and their fans by splitting into Sparta and Mars Volta.I know it was because they hated each other but it still sucks. ATDI was the perfect median between the two.Sparta is a little too Pop and TMV is way to technical and artistic/weird.But when you combine the both they make a f***ing masterpiece.Iam not saying anything that is news to those that are fans of them but I want them back together man.If Rage could do it maybe they could too. "Arcarsenal" is such a rocking song. Never got into Sparta, but Mars Volta's first album is AMAZING. Every since then it's been a steady decline into wanking for wanks sake territory. When you get to the point where you think you're bigger than the song writing formula. You need to f*** right off.... And that's where they are. Side note, just got United Nations' album. HOLY S! So freaking crazy. I'm glad to know Geoff from Thursday can still scream, hopefully he does so on the new album. Not that he or Daryl Palumbo are in this band or anything....cause they're not. I also love the album's alternate cover, which for obvious copyright reasons can't be put in stores:

1. Coheed & Cambria - "Blood Red Summer" 2. Nirvana - "Polly" 3. Misery Signals - "Difference of Vengeance and Wrongs" 4. Citizen Cope - "Salvation" 5. Bright Eyes - "No One Would Riot for Less" 6. Joshua Radin - "Star Mile" 7. Weezer - We Are All on Drugs" 8. Right Away, Great Captain! - "Captain I'm fine, and Thank You for Everything" 9. Green Day - "Basket case" (Live) 10. Bright Eyes - "Four Winds"

This rain is f***ing ridiculous.... The Twins gain games with out us even having a chance to respond.... I know it's completely not in our control, yet, it still pisses me off.....
