Plus the article mentions that they think Koch will probably get traded, so hopefully it's to the mets for Weathers. If so the bullpen will look f***ing fantastic. Marte Mota Williamson Weathers Wunsch Any non-tendered FA BP guys EDIT: I just noticed it would be the "MW" pen, KW better sign reliever with an M to start off his last name

Here is a bit on Greg Miller from BA. 2. Greg Miller, lhp Age: 19. B-T: L-L. Ht.: 6-5. Wt.: 190. Drafted: HS—Lakewood, Calif., 2002 (1st round supplemental). Signed by: Scott Groot. Background: Several Dodgers scouts say Miller is even better than Edwin Jackson. After going 2-2, 5.03 in his first six starts, Miller dominated the high Class A Florida State League and earned a promotion to Double-A Jacksonville as an 18-year-old. Strengths: Miller’s velocity has increased from the mid-80s in high school to the low 90s, and he regularly hit 95 mph in 2003. His power curveball is among the best in the organization, and he added a cutter that has morphed into a nasty slider. His average changeup gives a fourth pitch with which to attack hitters. He completes the package with command, intelligence and uncanny poise. Weaknesses: Miller’s season ended with shoulder bursitis, and some wonder if the stress of throwing a slider contributed to his problems. Other than staying healthy, he has little to work on. The Future: Though the Dodgers opted for Jackson when Hideo Nomo got hurt, Miller got serious consideration for a September spot start. He’ll be given an outside chance to make the big league rotation in the spring, but most likely will return to Double-A. No mention of the Sox getting Nomar http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sp...tesox-headlines Here's the important parts:
-
The next couple of days should be interesting to say the least.
-
That's one of the reasons. The plot doesn't interest me. I also didn't read the books so I'm not one of the Tolkien crazys. Another thing is I have a tough time sitting through really long movies at the theater or at home, the final reason I don't care to see it is because of everybody beating me up for not seeing in the first place. It's like I'm a traitor to the country or something. I'm very stubborn about these things. The more people diszone me for not wanting to see the movies, the less I want to see them at all.
-
Well I haven't seen any of them nor do I ever plan on doing so in my lifetime. I have a tough time staying awake during the commercials, how could I sit though three hours of it? Just my opinion
-
I know I'm about to get killed, but I don't f***ing care!
-
Wow! A 5-1 deal? If the Sox could get Perez, Mota, Jackson, Miller, and Loney for Maggs. s***, I would do that in a second.
-
http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sp...tesox-headlines Some Tidbits from it: I'm confused.....so confused. Are we making deals are we not, WHAT THE f***?!?! Hmmm Maggs and a Prospect for Perez, Mota and Jackson and/or Miller. I wish the Dodgers would just do it. They need some Offense.....Bastards! Well Best Case Senario This is the pitching Staff: Starters: Mark Buehrle Esteban Loaiza Odalis Perez Jon Garland Edwin Jackson Bullpen: Damaso Marte Guillermo Mota David Weathers Danny Wright and 2 of the following: Arnie Munoz, Kelly Wunsch, David Sanders, Scott Schoeneweis, Matt Ginter and any FA's signed as BP help.

Tejada Signs a 6-year, 54 million deal with Balt.
Cali replied to maggsmaggs's topic in Pale Hose Talk
What an odd number to say because that is exactly what it's being reported as now. Now 6 Years $72 Mil -
I don't have 2004 so I don't know if any of this are in there, please tell me if there are but here are my suggestions: I want to see the winning team just standing around if they're well ahead after you kneel down and there is less time on the clock then there is on the play clock. Like in the real game and maybe have the press coaches players etc. walk onto the field with like 10 seconds left. Change the ref. I don't know if it's different on 04 but in 03 it's he same black ref that is always making the calls. Why can't you watch a replay and then decide if you want to challenge the call? That's what they do in the NFL, It's really hard to tell in the half a second it's on the screen. I'd like to see an attempt to keep the feet in bounds, maybe dragging the feet etc. Laterals on the kick off's if you're desparate at the end of the game. Hail Mary Option, "All Streaks" doesn't get them in the end zone for a jump ball. And finally and this goes for all sports games. Varying Attendence, if your team is in last place you should have less people in the stands and vice versa. If your the home team and you're getting blown out I want to see fans leaving early.
-
Two separate articles confirm that's what Ozzie wants to do, assuming he isn't traded. Hope frank doesn't throw a hissy fit...
-
Did I f***ing call that deal or what? (In a different thread)
-
From an article on the M's site that says Tejada declines their first offer: There is no f***ing way Kenny can say that this deal would be bad for the team. Valentin sucks, his option should have never been picked up, the Sox need a starter, if Tejada signs elsewhere f***ing do this deal!
-
I'm gonna be pissed if there is another article on whitesox.com tomorrow that says something like "Sox still silent in New Orleans"
-
http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb...t=.jsp&c_id=cha Goddamn do they need to keep pushing that fact on us? Which brings me to this question, would you rather have know the Sox weren't gonna make any moves and be angry today or not know they weren't gonna do anything and just be angry on monday? I don't know why but I think I prefer the latter. But I will give the Sox to the "Colon Deadline" Jan 15, 2004 before I truely become pissed, but I'm slowly getting there.
-
Assuming that the M's don't get Tejada I'd go for: Maggs and Valentin for Garcia, Lopez, and Soriano.
-
Fan-f***ing-Tastic There goes my whole wait till the winter meetings defense I really hope the key would there is "likely", that's not 100%
-
why are you bumping the only thread in this forum?
-
Ahhh that's what I assumed it was. I'm sure I won't win but I'll take the loss "with quiet dignity and grace..... Sonava b****! Bastard! I'll get you for this! What did you do to me?!? I don't want to live I do not want to live!!!"
-
I don't know what a "taste monger" is, but I'm glad to have at least one f***ing nomination
-
Steve Phillips expects KW to make a "big" move
-
But he did say that they have the chance to make a dent in the market. He just said losers "so far"
-
Just based on how the off-season has gone and just to drive the people who have being going nuts, crazier, the Sox will not make any moves on this first day of the winter meeting.
