  1. I really don't like the fact that is says that he can play "second and short for the White Sox" on the main page, that may mean Jose is not on the move
  2. Good hopefully it means Jose is on the move, preferable with Paul Konerko to LA for Perez and, hmmm, well now I don't know before I would have said Izturis, but I don't know, I'd take any of that relief corp of the Dodgers though.
  3. Well you asked for a list besides "They Suck" which, face it, you were asking for that to be my last reason, and I gave it to you.
  4. Per Request... Reasons Why I don't like Korn: -The aformentioned crappy whining voice on Jon Davis and bass sound. -Their songs are boring and bland as far as metal goes (which they are more hard rock than metal) You can always tell when a Korn song comes on because they all have the same structure. Distortion, really really really low tuned, so low it's not even a note half the time riff, punchy bassline.... Whine Whine Whine. -The names of the band members. -Fieldy(see above)'s solo rap album. -So, So, So many better acts out there today then them in the metal genre, which again they're hardly in. -"Issues" and the 18 different covers. -Jon Davis always has to have his patented "jibberish breakdown" in the songs, I guess he thinks that's cool or something. -That video with the bullet missing killing people, yeah it was cool at first, but after 8 billions times of seeing it, it got old. And Jon Davis yells at the bullet once it gets to him. -They seem to put out bi-yearly albums back in the late 90's, shows that they didn't put much time into recording it. -That stupid microphone that Jon Davis sings into when they play live. - Bagpipes. Yeah it's cool that you can play them and all, but lets stick to the big three, it sounds a lot better that way. -And last but certainly not least. KORN SUCKS.
  5. Found this on another board, and got a chuckle out of it
  6. Yeah I agree, they can hardly be considered a metal band. I also don't like that punching a paper bag bass sound either.
  7. Two Words: Snooze Fest Not really to that album but the band in particular. And when I hear them I hear Thom Yorke adn his lazy eye whining just as much as the emo kids, but it just drawls out for ever, and ever.... I mentioned that because I know who's buttons to push as far as music goes. You, it's Radiohead, Dub, it's Linkin Park etc.
  8. Hmmmm I liked Vitalogy. And St. Anger shouldn't be on the (Dis)Honorable mention list, it should be on the regular list. It is GOD AWFUL, GOD AWFUL. And yes Korn does suck, the reason I don't like them is because, as far as heavy metal goes there are just so many better acts out there then them.
  9. Just tell him Radiohead sucks and end this argument
  10. Basically that's his definition of grinder.
  11. Well if anyone could light a fire under his ass it would be Ozzie, and he already knows him from Florida, perhaps Ozzie will drop a hint to KW that he is someone who could be a grinder.
  12. I've also read that the Marlins might non-tender Juan Encarnacion, another outfield possibility.
  13. Could You Imagine a Pitching Rotation consisting of something like: Mark Buehrle Bartolo Colon Esteban Loaiza Odalis Perez Kurt Ainsworth/Jon Garland That with an assumed Maggs to Baltimore deal. Only a couple of more weeks until the major movement starts a coming December 7th and then the Winter Meetings
  14. Jose just has to be traded, that's the only reason that they picked up the option. I'm really hoping that the Sexon to the D-backs deal goes down tomorrow, and then the Dodgers immediately bite on a Konerko/Valentin for Perez/Izturis deal with Sexon already gone.
  15. I've been a fan of Gibbons for a while. If we could get a few more players plus him for Maggs, I wouldn't be so upset. I think a prospective Baltimore deal hinges on if Vlad goes there, which is were he is being rumored to go. If Vlad signs elsewhere I would expect the O's to go after Maggs, which then KW can jack up the price.
  16. I had a dream that Maggs got traded to the Rockies for Larry Walker. Just thought I'd mention that.
  17. What ever happened to the Berry/Barry that KW really wanted?
  18. Well now that Sexon is gone, perhaps the Dodgers will pounce on Konerko. Since I believe there first choice was Sexon, and they were "sitting" on a Konerko deal
  19. I assume this is the Lopez kid that was talked about in the Mariner deal. He's the #13 shortstop in the Minors according to BA 13. Jose Lopez, Mariners Age: 19 Level: Double-A 2002 Ranking: 5 Lopez was a hitting machine in 2002, collecting 169 hits for Class A San Bernardino. If his November 1983 birthdate is accurate, it was an even more impressive season. Despite offseason surgery on right ankle, an injury that cost him the final month of the 2002 season, he hit .304 in the first two months of 2003. He cooled off in Double-A after a hot start and finished with a .258 clip. Assuming that his age is correct, it wasn't a bad year. He ripped 35 doubles and hit 13 home runs. He walked just 27 times, fanning 56. Defensively, he's erratic with a plus arm. He hit .228 after June 1. And before the 2003 season, he was the number 3 prospect in the Seattle System. 3. Jose Lopez, ss Age: 19. B-T: R-R. Ht.: 6-2. Wt.: 170. Signed: Venezuela, 2000. Signed by: Bob Engle/Jose Moreno. Background: Lopez held his own as the youngest player in the short-season Northwest League in 2001, and his bat took a quantum leap last year in the California League, where he was the second-youngest regular. He led all minor league shortstops in hitting and topped the Cal League in hits and doubles. He was Seattle’s minor league player of the year. Strengths: Lopez’ defensive abilities have been apparent since he made his pro debut. Managers said he had the best infield arm in the Cal League, and he has fine hands, range and actions at shortstop. He has excellent instincts in all phases of the game, making him an adept hitter and a threat on the bases. He has plenty of pop for a middle infielder. Weaknesses: Because he excels at making contact, Lopez rarely works deep counts or walks. He’s filling out and may outgrow shortstop, though he’ll still have enough bat for second or third base. Like most teenagers, he could be more consistent on a daily basis. The Future: Doctors have discovered an extra bone in Lopez’ right foot, which may require surgery. Barring a major setback, he’ll play in Double-A this year at 19.
  20. Eliza Dushku at 48? Please... And I do not thing Halle Berry is that hot. Especially with the short hair.
  21. Looks like there won't be any Maggs to NY deal coming up.

    movie weekend

Well most College bands are Parade Bands, I'm not a fan of all the dancing and s***. DCI is an independent group that people do in the summer. I like them better cause they play really cool music, and the shows have themes etc. Most parade bands play current pop songs and music you would hear on the radio, mixed with Jazz etc.

    movie weekend

I was in a Drumline for 2 years, and that was not the kind of experience I had. Plus the guys in that movie are in a parade band. I really don't like parade bands. The guys who are really badass are those in DCI (Drum Corps International) Those guys are f***ing insanely good.
  24. What's so interesting about that? I just skimmed it, but was there anything Sox related in that article?
  25. I thought those were really expensive, like $250, something outrageous like that. I could be wrong.
