This is why I avoid judging guys the year they are drafted. Seems like we're reading about a completely different guy than the post-draft 2023 Jacob Gonzalez.

Exactly. It seems like they already have made their decision on Colas but if you're not playing them this year, when will you? I think they're both gone in the off-season (if not before then).

Right, it's not about the players themselves and what the younger guys have done to this point. It's more about the process. At the end of the day, this trade will have no impact for either team.
