  1. I was thinking maybe calling Remillard up gives them an easy DFA to promote Walsh and send down AV down. Then I looked at Walsh’s stats at AAA. Still possible I guess if he starts hitting there I guess.
  2. Thought there was a very real chance he’d be a slight upgrade: defense and power. Thats about it. TA was just that bad last year.
  3. Yeah, the GM played that beautifully honestly.
  4. Yeah, dude had another year and a half control over what Cease had. And cheap.
  5. No, it’s not a very good free agent class. Go get Alonso though. f*** it. Next year should be better than this year but I still wouldn’t expect them to be competitive.
  6. Fedde is on a 2-year deal and probably a trade chip this summer.
  7. That’s a good route to go. I really want one and was thinking of just going blank or a legend player.
  8. Yep. They did need bodies so it did make sense but this was never going to be a one-sided deal in favor of the Sox if Soroka did not bounce back.
  9. All in favor of referring to him as "AH-T" (or AHT), say I. I will never spell that name right.
  10. Well, we do know we were getting about 3 non-tender candidates in that deal (Soroka, Lopez, Shewmake).
  11. Yeah, maybe stick him in pen as a long-reliever and if he ends up being good, use him in higher leverages. But yeah, he's been bad.
  12. Pillar with 2 HR today. Shoulda kept him (for defense at least) over Grossman.
  13. “The throw comes into third. Good thing it wasn’t a hard throw.” You assume Benintendi can throw the ball hard ha
  14. Yeah he’s now moved into the category of: “I can’t wait until we’ve moved on from these guys” along with Moncada, Eloy, Kopech.
  15. This is where I’m at. Next year is going to be another punted year anyway.
  16. White Sox offense: grab a beer and you’ll miss ‘em.
  17. Right? If anything, play him in RF (or even DH him and let the oaf in the OF at this point) and play Sheets at 1B.
  18. Vaughn is never going to be more than "just a guy." Assuming he doesn't suddenly flip a power switch, I don't see how you bring him back next year. Rather see them sign any B/C-tier free agent at 1B with at least some pop.
  19. He was on the 40-man in Spring Training. To go down at the beginning of the season, he would be optioned. Edit: https://www.mlb.com/player/bryan-ramos-682868 under transactions on March 11th.
  20. Yeah he'll probably be back down quick and potentially backup depending on what happens later with Moncada.
  21. If he is a solid trade chip in July I will eat a crow.
