To piggyback off this, if Paul DeJong isn't catching the ball (this is based on a VERY recent play), than he's useless to this team. Give the PT to Sosa. What do you have to lose? Their numbers will be close at the end of the season.

We traded someone who wasn't on our 40-man to help another team's 40-man crunch. What a waste. Matthew Thompson will probably be nothing but still.

Right. Plus, isn't there better talent in AA than AAA, since you don't have as much veteran Quad-A types and minor league signings and filler? Spending a lot of time in AAA doesn't seem as necessary.

Gotta give him props for agreeing to be optioned. Most veterans don't. AV doesn't get a choice if they want to send him down, however.

Just want guys to play well enough to get traded honestly. If that ends up leading to some more wins, not a terrible thing. As you said: 10th pick is a lock.
