  1. They should easily be able to move Hendriks if that’s the route they go though.
  2. Oh god. Of course they would. Still think he goes back to Houston or finally goes to Jays.
  3. Thinking this means you heard the same, eh?
  4. Wow way to ruin in my night. Seriously wtf did I do to you
  5. I read like a month ago that he would move to 3B if they signed Correa.
  6. And just think, 12 months ago we were in a lockout with the owners crying unprofitable.
  7. Idk stopgap for 2 and a half weeks. Mix of Leury, Reyes, Sheets (gulp).
  8. Yeah unless they trade Hendriks and need to sign another reliever for bullpen depth, the only place they can really spend is in the OF. Rotation depth can come from minor league signings and we'll have a 2B out of Romy, Sosa, Rodriguez.
  9. Yeah I'm thinking it could even be Cespedes competing with some right-handed hitting minor league OF not yet signed.
  10. FYI, this doesn't say "Opening Day RF." And most of us have said early May, sometime after they get the extra year of control. You might be talking about arguing with like, one person.
  11. So you're saying they are adding a left-handed bat. Same as us. Replace the name "Conforto" with "any left-handed bat." It's gonna happen. They can't be stupid enough to run Eloy as primary LF and Sheets as the primary DH.
  12. Right. Everyone is penciling him into their hypothetical outfields along with another OF.
  13. ? There's room for both. Edit: Conforto or not, they're still adding a left-handed hitting every day OF.
  14. Checked for shits and gigs. Bonilla's deferred payments end July 1st, 2035.
  15. So Brewers only gave up Esteury Ruiz and got back Contreras (along with 2 controllable relievers)? Wtf. Edit: nice extension from the Hader deal.
  16. No way will the Yankees trade for him. They'd have to dump Donaldson first.
  17. I think most here probably figured this. Which is why a part of me hopes a trade happens.
  18. I remember him having success in a swing-man role with the Dodgers bouncing back and forth between bullpen and rotation. Idk what his role will be with the Giants but there’s value in that role. I think before this move, Junis was bumped to that role post-Manaea signing.
  19. Just saw the update that the Rays expect to find a trade partner for him. He is controllable through 2026.
  20. IMO, I don't think he would have accepted the QO so you wouldn't have the $18.5M pitcher. I think he would have rejected and received a similar deal to what he got either way. Worked out that way for Syndergaard, who received and rejected a QO after coming off a season he threw 2 innings.
  21. Maybe, but I don't think it was a question to offer the QO or not. Many thought he should have been offered the QO at the time.
  22. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2022/12/rays-dfa-j-p-feyereisen.html JP Feyerisen was DFA'd by the Rays. Great numbers last year but had surgery to repair the labrum and rotator cuff. Expected to miss most of the year but maybe worth a minor league signing? Or one of those creative 2 year deals?
