Batting Order
Royals: not a lot of talent to start last year - makes sense Witt would bat high. Orioles: basically same as above; also, Adley started in 6th spot and they adjusted. Literally what everyone else is basically saying to do: start lower and adjust Indians: possibly less offensive talent to begin last year than either team above to start last year ha Jeremy Pena: hit 7th to begin year in front of awful offensive catcher Maldonado and defensive first CF. Moved up consistently when injuries started.

World Baseball Classic 2023
Hey, if we’re forced to watch him suck at his job, so is the rest of the world.

Batting Order
At this point, I have to agree. Alberto is going to make it based on Grifol's recent comments (within last couple weeks maybe?) about him. And Romy isn't having a good Spring. Plus, they need to have a real 4th OF, though I have a feeling it may come from outside the organization closer to the end of Spring Training.

Anderson at 2B in WBC
Re-watching the beginning of the USA game from last night while working, DeRosa mentioned it may not be pretty but he wants his bat in the lineup. See, nothing wrong with becoming a bat-first 2B.

World Baseball Classic 2023
Yep. Even stiffer than the Spring Training competition ?

Anderson at 2B in WBC
Only for him to be gone by now. Damn.

Batting Order
I think what we will see (note: not what I want exactly) is: R Anderson SS R Robert CF L Benintendi LF (I would swap him and Robert and when everyone was in camp, this is what they were doing) R Eloy DH S Moncada 3B (I think he hits here and they move him down if he's not hitting) R Vaughn 1B S Grandal C L Colas RF (I would at least bat him a spot higher to start and make Grandal prove he isn't toast) R Andrus 2B This is basically what they had it as when everyone was in camp. Edit: actually, this is exactly how even Roster Resource has them lined up.

Batting Order
It’s. Spring. Training. Nothing wrong with him hitting 7th or 8th and adjusting if he’s hitting.

Anderson at 2B in WBC
Yeah especially since Turner has a ton of experience there. But also we know how TA’s defense at short is…

Long live the pitch clock
WBC is making me appreciate the pitch clock more and more every game.

Roster Cuts Thread
Yeah, let him face the better talent in Double-A and then on to the Triple-A coaching staff.

Batting Order
Agreed. Flip him and Robert so Robert is 3 and the guy who is supposed to get on base is in front of him. I get the whole "bat your best player 2nd" idea but I mean, we're talking about 1 spot in the order.

Batting Order
Pretty close to how I have it. The only difference is I wouldn't platoon Colas until he proves he can't hit lefties.
-
Batting Order
At this point, I’m not even sure there’s anyone worth platooning him with so I think he’s probably safe.
-
Batting Order
Yeah I think Colas hits in the bottom 3rd of the order to start the year. A good Spring Training is nice and all but means close to nothing.

Sox @ Padres, Clevinger vs Snell
Well, maybe they will pick someone up towards the end of Spring Training that is cut loose from another team.

ST: 3/10, Sox at Cubs, 2pm, Marquee
He was hitting 2nd when he was in camp.

ST: 3/10, Sox at Cubs, 2pm, Marquee
Lol exactly. Put him in the stable if he needs to be a backup or take it out back and put him out of his misery and dfa him.

Never understood the people wanting to cut him in the off-season. You’d bring him into the season and go from there. You’d at least give him a shot.

I believe Moncada had a baserunning blunder earlier today too. Get them out of the way now.

Honestly, I often do too.

Rodon to the Yankees, $162 million
Yeah, I never wanted him on that deal or even long term but would have welcomed him back on a one year QO deal or let him walk for the draft pick.

Orioles year finally?
