  1. The guy can’t even run. Full time DHing him will do nothing to keep him on the field.
  2. Yeah if everyone was healthy going into the year and everyone managed to stay healthy, Leury would split 2B with Harrison but also start at SS, 3B, LF, CF, RF to give guys a day of rest or to DH. He would almost be a regular.
  3. Nobody: ..... Absolutely nobody: ....... Caulfield: Well the Padres (insert statement here)
  4. I think he's referring to the competitive window trades: Pilkington for Cesar, Kimbrel deal etc.
  5. Yep...should have played the same lineup as Tuesday but with these changes: 1. Mendick SS 2. Vaughn RF 3. Robert CF 4. Abreu 1B 5. Burger DH 6. Grandal C 7. Pollock LF 8. Moncada 3B 9. Garcia 2B What is wrong with trying to use as close to a similar lineup as you can every night? Bat the guys who are hot in a row.
  6. Yeah they've got to try him out at 2B. He can DH until Eloy comes back. Harrison and Sheets are the ones who have to go.
  7. And to the people who say "Tony has forgotten more about the game than you people will ever know!"...it's not exactly the compliment you think it is.
  8. Honestly, instead of guaranteeing $22 mill between Garcia and Harrison, they might as well have just signed Escobar for 2 years $18.5 mill.
  9. He would be in the lineup regularly at different positions giving guys rest. And your reasoning does not support why he should be leading off.
  10. LOL You carry that water!
  11. Last year, LaRussa was getting lucky on a lot of those questionable decisions. Like hitting a .180 Jake Lamb 3rd and then he hits a homer.
  12. Put Burger at 2B (or call up Yolbert and make Butger primary DH with Sheets going down).
  13. What’s wrong with using the same lineup from yesterday minus a couple obvious changes?
  14. He absolutely should be over Harrison.
  15. Thank you for putting in a lefty. No one here doubts the team’s ability to hit against lefties.
  16. Yep. Was predictable with those 2 coming up.
  17. I’ll take my chances with him over Harrison.
  18. Not sure what else Yolbert can really show besides power, which doesn't seem to be in his game.
  19. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2022/06/trevor-rosenthal-showcase-mlb-clubs-free-agent-reliever-closer.html Be there White Sox.
  20. With the way LaRussa handles young players Sosa would probably play 3, 4 games a week to start with.
  21. Yaz has more at bats to qualify. Moncada may not.
  22. Swap Moncada and Robert and I think it’s probably the best they can do.
  23. Yep. Unfortunately that won't happen until there is a new owner in place. And then you scorch the front office and coaching staff.
