Yeah, I would be more upset hearing this after all the good free agents have signed with teams and we end up with platoon type players at 2B and RF and a cheap 6th starter.
You're right. This team doesn't have any holes besides the glaring one at 2B, the giant one in RF, another reliever, and possibly another SP. Other than that, yeah no holes.
I mean, we did hear during the first part of the off-season about how they misread the market on someone they wanted. Pretty good chance they misread the market on a lot of guys who have signed and possibly still out there.
Well, if they do want to add another legit starter and go with a 6-man for a while, they can go back to a 5-man by getting rid of/moving Keuchel to pen at some point.
I would expect there to be some negotiations for about a day after the deal was agreed to. This afternoon/evening I would think we start seeing guys come off the board pretty quickly.
