  1. Yes, the decision is ultimately letting him go for nothing, releasing him or trading him....while on waivers. Edit: In the bolded, you're confusing that with the old August trade waivers.
  2. Ha, I never said that the claim had to be immediately. Just that they can be traded while in the waiver period.
  3. The 19-year old is having a great year (granted, he's in like, rookie ball).
  4. Well, the rules have changed since we signed Robert, we were in the penalty box the first 2 years and we traded off our slot money those years because we couldn't spend over $250k (I think the amount is right, can't remember) on one player so it always made sense.
  5. I could see a Jay + cash or Nova + cash deal, but not bringing anything significant back.
  6. That deal is basically nothing, ha. Considering the poster posted after the Jones trade, I kinda meant anymore activity.
  7. Someone could always pop up before next July. Maybe not a great prospect but someone you could at least spend the money on.
  8. It would seem so White Sox for this to happen. I still would only deal him for a high price though.
  9. I didn't think they would pick up his option for next year so this is good.
  10. Easy. Eloy LF, Engel CF, Leury in RF. AJ Reed (unfortunately) DH. Infield: Goins, Anderson, Yolmer if Moncada can't play. Edit: also possible Tilson is on his way to Chicago just in case.
  11. Yeah I just think it is more likely Garcia opens the year at 2B next year (with Engel or some other fill-in in CF) until Madrigal comes up.
  12. That's a good point, actually. I kind of get the feeling he ends up staying,
  13. But if a team doesn't want any of those guys, then it's not really a failure since there was just no interest.
  14. If the offers aren't there (or there are no offers) then not really. The only ones I would really take "best offer" for would be the guys who are free agents in a couple of months. But again, a team would have to be interested.
  15. They have hitting and need pitching. Guess they think they can go for it next year.
  16. I was on the: extend him (or trade and re-sign him) for a year and like $10 mill at the absolute most. But lately, I think I've decided I'd rather move on.
  17. He'll probably be in LF. Easier to hide the glove there. And he can DH.
  18. About 1/3 of his posts have nothing to do with the topic the post is in.
