Why is that an lol? He appears in The Fantastic Four and X-Men movies and he usually shoots all his cameos for whatever movies are filming around the same time. Not really crazy to think he'd appear in Dark Phoenix. Also, it's funny how he was actually playing himself in this last movie reading the script for his cameo in Mall Rats.

Probably could have just waited and signed McCann (or someone else) to a minor league deal. If you're going to spend a few mill and guarantee an MLB spot, might as well have just signed Maldonado.

Honestly. he kinda seems like he would be the kind of guy the Cubs would take a chance on since they can't develop pitching and can use all the help they can get. The sick part of it is, they would be praised for giving him a chance. ?

Honestly, yeah I think he will get signed at some point by some rebuilding team even if I think he shouldn't by any MLB team.

Being a 32-year old DH (with a QO attached this time around) makes me think he won't even opt-out to risk not getting paid what hes' even under contract for the remaining 3 years of his current deal. Hell, he signed mid-February last year after coming off of a great year. At the very least, I think maybe him and the Red Sox hammer out a new deal, adding another year or two, before he can potentially opt-out.

I agree with you. I don't think he opts out. Being a DH mostly eliminates half the teams already.
