Yeah I'm sure they will offer opt-outs (look at other big deals they have signed in the past like CC, A-Rod, Tanaka) but I hope the Sox offer 10+ with opt-outs after years 4,5 and 6.
I'm good with the Sox bringing him in. I like his speed and defense in CF. Just let him hit 9th and cover all of the outfield. Engel can be a late inning defensive sub.

Yeah I read an article yesterday (Ken Rosenthal maybe?) where he said the team could have just signed a closer using the money they just took on in the Cano deal, avoided the aging Cano contract and played McNeil at 2B, and held onto their prospects.
