  1. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Nov 2, 2016 -> 07:31 AM) the latter, I'm a broke phd student haha I'm not sure you're broke if you're that far ahead where a 2.5k loss matters haha
  2. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Nov 2, 2016 -> 07:16 AM) I'm putting 2.5k on the indians tonight once the lines are released. What do you do for a living? Lol or are you just far ahead in gambling to the point where a 2.5k potential hit doesn't matter?
  3. Play the best defensive team. Going to be hard to score anyway. I want Davis/Naquin in CF batting last and Guyer in right. Also, is Gomes a big drop off defensively from Perez?
  4. QUOTE (ChiliIrishHammock24 @ Nov 1, 2016 -> 11:06 PM) Flowers was $3.5M. And I agree, Lawrie could easily be tendered and traded for a prospect from someone, I just didn't want to take the time to locate who would need someone like Lawrie and randomly select a prospect from their system when I wouldn't affect my projection for 2017 anyway. Mets are a team off the top of my head if they don't sign Walker. He can plug in at second or third actually depending on Wright's health.
  5. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Nov 1, 2016 -> 09:18 PM) Brandon Guyer can't hit RHP at all, Brantley has been broken all year. I guess Rajai Davis can replace but that's about it? Outfield is not their strong suit. I'll take my chances with Guyer.
  6. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Nov 1, 2016 -> 08:43 PM) The CF shouldnt of called him off. However you have communication and priority calls for a reason. You hear the CF calling ball, ball ball or mine you back off. The minute you decide f*** it I am not doing that is the minute a horrific collision is going to take place. The problem here was the CF, he shouldnt of made that call. If you call for the ball and call another fielder off you better f***ing catch the ball. Chisenhall is not some superior defender out in RF that he can ignore priority calls. And doesn't hit good enough to suck up that bad defense like a healthy Schwarber
  7. QUOTE (fathom @ Nov 1, 2016 -> 08:12 PM) Naquin can't hit fastballs. Really no clue why he's playing tonight Should be Davis and Guyer in CF and RF
  8. QUOTE (whitesoxjr27 @ Nov 1, 2016 -> 08:06 PM) Wow. Never thought this would happen. Definitely knew it could but was hoping.
  9. QUOTE (fathom @ Nov 1, 2016 -> 08:02 PM) But it was a routine play for Chisensuck I will agree he sucks haha guy definitely belongs on the bench. With everyone struggling to hit (besides Lindor) so gotta play best defense to prevent runs if you're not going to score.
  10. QUOTE (iamshack @ Nov 1, 2016 -> 08:01 PM) On the guy camped under the ball? Ok. Gotta call it...guessing you've never played baseball? Naquin was calling for it.
  11. QUOTE (iamshack @ Nov 1, 2016 -> 07:59 PM) No, he was very late getting there. Either way collision woulda been on Chisenhall.
  12. QUOTE (iamshack @ Nov 1, 2016 -> 07:59 PM) No, he was very late getting there. Meh he was there for the catch anyway.
  13. QUOTE (iamshack @ Nov 1, 2016 -> 07:57 PM) He's going to make that sliding catch instead of Chisenhall jogging under it? No. He slid to avoid collision... And was calling for it. Therefore, CF's ball.
  14. QUOTE (iamshack @ Nov 1, 2016 -> 07:55 PM) Wtf are you doing out there Naquin? Was his ball all day. Chisenhall is the one who needs to back off.
  15. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Nov 1, 2016 -> 07:20 PM) Chisenhall involved in every s***ty OF play. Why is Crisp not playing RF at all this series? This! Wtf
  16. Chisenhall has literally brought nothing to this series.
  17. QUOTE (whitesoxjr27 @ Nov 1, 2016 -> 04:48 PM) Oh God. I am over hearing a cub fan conversation at work right now. Schwarber will be the hero and jake will return to perfect form. No way Cubs lose tonight. They are taking bets now. Cleveland gets ZERO respect for what they have accomplished. They struggled to hit Jake the first time. I still feel like this series will go 7.
  18. QUOTE (bmags @ Nov 1, 2016 -> 10:51 AM) Oh, okay, so it only matters if the white sox ex prospects lose value. Got it. That's the perfect rebuttal to criticism that it doesn't matter if sox sold high on prospect if they made the wrong decision. Um what? I was just referring to those 3 guys having their value take a hit and not being able to trade them for a guy of Frazier's caliber pre-2016. I was saying Dick Allen was accurate in saying this. I'm not even saying it was the wrong decision to sell high on them lol they did sell high on them and a lot of people were/are happy they made the deal. It has nothing to do with them being ex-Sox prospects lol
  19. QUOTE (bmags @ Nov 1, 2016 -> 08:59 AM) I think you are way too sure of this. I think he's right. All 3 guy's have had their value hurt. And he means Todd Frazier pre-2016 season than the current one.
  20. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Nov 1, 2016 -> 07:33 AM) Dan Hayes ‏@CSNHayes 8h8 hours ago BREAKING: Mark Grudzielanek will be the Triple-A Charlotte manager. #WhiteSox I feel like he was a smart player who, as a comment above pointed out, regarded as future manager. Hopefully it pays off.
  21. He's the type of guy who can end up on 3 different teams by the time Spring Training starts.
  22. QUOTE (GreenSox @ Oct 30, 2016 -> 02:41 PM) In no sense was Trayce sold high. The trade would have been defensible IF the Sox were in a position to win AND they didn't have a gaping hole at CF and pitching depth, particularly in the pen (of course those weaknesses, exacerbated by the trade, are a large reason why the Sox weren't in a position to win). A savvy trade of Sale plus another year of quality development by the young pitchers, and the Sox could be ready in 2018. But the usual out of Hahn will yield the usual results. They plugged the hole with a cheap stop gap. He got hurt unfortunately which they didn't plan for.
  23. Hopefully the Indians can get to Arrieta early. and at least Crisp should be back in the lineup. Seems to be the only Indians OF getting hits (besides the Santana homer the other day and Rajai's hits yesterday. Hopefully the lineup is: Santana DH (ideally, he would hit in the middle but he can draw walks and get on base which a lot of guys on the team have struggled at.) Kipnis 2B Lindor SS Napoli 1B Ramirez 3B Crisp LF Davis RF/CF (Naquin hasn't done anything offensively but neither has Chisenhall) Perez/Gomes C Naquin CF/RF (for defense; Chisenhall is awful) Something along those lines.
  24. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Oct 30, 2016 -> 08:42 PM) Indians need to get Santana in here one way or the other. Salazar....Salazar.
