So I got home from work today to a box from my Grandfather who happens to be a Sox fan as well. I opened it up to find some pretty awesome stuff. The first thing I found was 2 little dog statues. Next up I find an autographed hat by Paulie! Then I pull out 4 baseballs, first one personalized to my poppop signed by Billy Pierce, 2nd was a Matt Williams autographed ball. Next was a Minnie Minoso, followedby last but not least my personal favorite Sox plays a Maggs autograph. The last thing in the box was an authentic Magglio Ordoñez jersey. Just thought I'd share with you all in this slow time of year. Was definitely a surprise to come home to!

Balta I am wondering how you feel about any of the off season moves? Just want to hear your view on how they did outside of this recent signing. I respect anyone's opinion to be sour on a signing, but I still personally have a hard time having trouble support the entire organization over 1 signing. But my guess since I am new you and others offended are of the Old School decent. Again I respect your opinion on that matter as well, just isn't me

I have absolutely no issues supporting this team. I want to be competitive, I've actually been following our off season more than I am following the NFL which is actively in session. Did Melky do anything else besides test positive for PEDs and serve his time that I am not aware of? I get why some may not cheer for him but to banish the entire team because of it just seems weird. At the time of his PED charge that is what the game was. Like others have said Flowers who isn't a favorite around these parts and Q tested positive. Is there any reason to believe we won't just keep Tank now as our 4th OF? He's terrible defensively which I suppose is what you want from a 4th OF but he offers good power and can relieve in the OF or DH if needed. After writing that the thought of Tank Cabrera and Avi in the OF at once makes me laugh hysterically

I honestly don't see anyone biting on Tank. He was being shopped near the deadline correct? No one bit on it, the only team he has been linked to that I know of is Seattle and they have come out and denied that completely. So I really don't see anyone wanting him. Maybe Baltimore will take him being they lose Cruz and Nick Mark.

I absolutely love Jose Abreu. But I wouldn't put him ahead of Cabrera after 1 season. I really hope you are right and Jose is better (he is younger and had a better season last year) but I want it again before I rank him ahead of present day Cabrera.
