Hector wrong. Again. - Cruz back with Min
Blue Jays don’t need a dh. Unless they can convert excess OF into an arm, they’ll be rotating their outfielders. I was hoping to have a similar scenario for the Sox, but isn’t looking likely.

Jameson Taillon traded to Yankees
Pirates have a fantastic history, better than ours. But come on man...imagine being a die hard pirates fan right now. Must be torture. I feel for them, that’s all I’m saying.

Jameson Taillon traded to Yankees
Being a sox fan feels hard sometimes. Imagine being a pirates fan. Man, gotta feel for those guys. I’m a taillon fan so I’d like to add him to the mix, but as always depends on the cost. He isn’t really what we need right now, which is dependable innings.

Lucky for him the other team wasn’t interested.

Dodgers sign Bauer (3/102, opt-outs, 40-45-17)
I wouldn’t be shocked if he doesn’t have any concrete offers and just conversations.

I worked in the blue Jays front office in 2009. Harry Einbinder had an office to my left. Kevin Briand was across the hall. And, no joke, paul Beeston shared a wall on the right. At no point were the white Sox serious suitors for halladay and blue Jays scouts were bearish on beckham.

That wasn’t going to happen

I have a hard time believing there’s reachable middle ground on what the brewers want and what the Sox are willing to part with. It’s fun to deliberate in the boring times of the off-season, but let’s get a (realistic) starter and a backup catcher.

Twins probably going to sign rosenthal or some other good rp. but, really....nothing he said can’t be pieced together by anyone who follows the game closely.

Garrett Richards to Boston, 1 year $10 million.
“Can’t we sign a starter who is always healthy and good for next to nothing?!” come on

I don’t understand what’s so hard to understand. You pay him accordingly. If he wasn’t hurt all the time he’d make bank...

The difference is piazza hit the snot out of the ball. And grandal is a good catcher. It’s a bad comp by a bad evaluator or talent.- TA Switches Agents
Wouldn’t be shocked if he renegotiated his contract at some point.- Pitchers and Catchers Report
I find it fascinating how many people want to make bad trades.- Garrett Richards to Boston, 1 year $10 million.
On the plus side, we can have Gary Bobby tuxedo t-shirt night.- Sox sign Hendriks: 3/$39M - 4th year optional with $15M buyout
Is this our first Aussie player?- Corey Kluber to Yanks per Passan
Kind of surprised he didn’t get more.- Sox sign Hendriks: 3/$39M - 4th year optional with $15M buyout
Grandal reminds me of Catcher version of Alexei. He’s really good at it, but he makes it hard to tell sometimes. His biggest issue, in my opinion, is he doesn’t have a natural feel for pitch selection/reading the hitter. Not a small thing, but also easy to work around.- Trade Whispers - Starting Pitchers
“Dram up upside” was meant to be “dream on upside”- Trade Whispers - Starting Pitchers
