Because there hasn't been a peep about anything today. Past history dictates that the Sox are silent before making a big move. Maybe they're finalizing the contract right now.

Machado, Pollock, Ottavino, and Gio Gonzalez would be my picks like others have mentioned. Get those guys and I think the Sox could win the division.

It's not impossible, but Harper, Keuchel, and Kimbrel as a trio is probably 500 million if not more. That is a ton of money.

Anyone can have "visions" of what they want. I want to be a billionaire and have a supermodel girlfriend. Doesn't mean it's going to happen.

Machado to the Sox and Harper to the Phillies seems like the most logical conclusion, but of course that won't happen as these things never go according to plan.

Jerry Reinsdorf is probably not going to be alive in 10 years. I would have to assume that his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and several generations beyond that are all taken care of financially. Go out with a bang and sign Machado.

I mean, it doesn't have to happen by then, but it would be in their best interests to have him there.

If this is going to happen for us, I agree that it would have to be sometime this week as they would certainly want him to be at SoxFest.
