I believe that Brooks Boyer mentioned in some sort of meeting with the media recently that the next 12-18 months are crucial in regards to the (next) stadium. So while all is quiet now, they'll have to step on the gas soon because the clock is ticking. If there's no legitimate news by this time next year I could see extending the lease for a year or two being likely.- “The 78” is alive and well for the Sox, Bears are 'advancing' Hammond development

Barons really playing with fire in the 7th & 8th but escaped tough jams, heading to the ninth up 3 with runners on the corners, nobody out.- 2026 International signings thread
Pipeline just released their top 50, Graterol checks in at 31, Romero isn't on the list. I get why they don't do it, but it irks me when they don't mention who the players are signing with.- Sun Times says it’s time for the Schrif to move on
My point is that I wouldn't deem him qualified for the position in the first place, but the Sox have (allegedly) hitched their wagon to him for another year.- Sun Times says it’s time for the Schrif to move on
Not how I would phrase it but to each their own.- Sun Times says it’s time for the Schrif to move on
Benetti had experience calling baseball games for the Windy City Thunderbolts, the Salem Avalanche (HOU Single-A affiliate in '06), and Syracuse Chiefs in addition to other gigs in various sports before landing the Sox job. He was far more experienced in calling baseball than Schriffdog.- Sun Times says it’s time for the Schrif to move on
I worded my response a bit wonky there. I'm not sure if he has a year left and the change would be effective for the 2027 season or after, but maybe it's just them riding out the contract and before doing their due diligence heading into the next search. The sooner the better IMO given how poorly the broadcast ranks, I would like to imagine that they aren't complacent or proud of that.- Sun Times says it’s time for the Schrif to move on
Maybe he has a year left on his contract and they figure to make a change after 2027, otherwise this is par for the course of White Sox brass willing to accept sub-mediocrity because it's already in place.- Sun Times says it’s time for the Schrif to move on
Big L here. Retaining this jabroni is making me angrier than it should lol.- “The 78” is alive and well for the Sox, Bears are 'advancing' Hammond development
Link Agreed, the 78 being in a much closer proximity to downtown as well as the sizable difference in public transportation ridership in the area alone could theoretically boost the casual attendee. They'll have their work cut out for them if they want to get into the 78, mainly who's paying for it and clearing it with the Plan Commission.- Sun Times says it’s time for the Schrif to move on
I've been hoping he would get the Chris Vosters treatment after the season. Seems like he cares and is outgoing and all that, he's just simply not good at the job, no matter how much he buddies-up with Sox podcasters.- “The 78” is alive and well for the Sox, Bears are 'advancing' Hammond development
You left out the next sentence, but the following few seem to be important as well. TL:DR, they still seem to not be ruling it out as of now.- “The 78” is alive and well for the Sox, Bears are 'advancing' Hammond development
I believe that apartments and such were always part of the original plan. The lot is still big enough to hold two stadiums and as of now the site hasn't been ruled out for a Sox stadium. They've been mum on it since a few months ago when they mentioned that they were still considering the site after the Fire announced their plans. I believe that the Fire plan to have the stadium opened in 2028, so they need to get going on construction and all that jazz.- “The 78” is alive and well for the Sox, Bears are 'advancing' Hammond development

Yet you come here and regurgitate the same stale talking points bi-weekly. We all get and know your stance, you just choose to ignore any evidence or explanation that doesn't align with your opinion.- “The 78” is alive and well for the Sox, Bears are 'advancing' Hammond development
A great line from Joe Dirt that rings true, "It's not what you like, its the consumer." I think the reason tailgating is so popular is that there's literally nothing else to do in the area outside of trying to cram in Turtles or Cork. I know public transportation and trains apparently frighten you, but for probably the 100th time in this thread, plenty of people (myself included) have 0 issue utilizing them back to the burbs after games. Like most humans, Sox fans will adapt to less available parking in the future if a stadium at the 78 does eventually come to fruition.- Bryse Wilson DFA, Bryan Hudson to IL, Gilbert and Cannon recalled per Fegan
Claimed from Milwaukee a handful of weeks ago.- Clevinger: Still in Charlotte
I would love to hear what the actual point of this is, plenty of other arms they could've promoted instead. - White Sox outright Fletcher, Julks, Peguero, White to AAA, Will Robertson claimed by PIT
