Actually, I'm pretty sure he did say something when the Cubs fired Baylor and hired Kimm. You are correct YAS. The Yanks did get Prior. Prior, however, decided to go to Vanderbilt. I must be one of the only ones here that would have rather seen Prior go to Minnesota. I could stomach losing to Prior alot easier than losing to Cy Mays. Plus the Sox, unlike with Cy Mays, have beaten Mark Prior .

Since he made the right move leaving Colon in and having it blow up in his face, I refrained from mentioning this. But I thought about it during the game and you SS2k3, are so right. BP should have been up and warming at the beginning of the bottom of the 8th. Pretty sad when posters think of this during the game but our dumbf*** manager doesn't .

Like others have said, no way do you walk Bonds in that situation. With no one out, you're bringing the winning run to the plate. And seeing as the next 2 or 3 batters reached base safely, JM would have been crucified for NOT allowing Colon to pitch to Bonds..... who he struck out, up to that point, 3 times. You take your chances in that situation. JM, for once, made the right move.

Giving Bartolo the opportunity to finish the game was one of JM's few right decisions this season. The decision to pitch Marte to Aurelia is definitely debatable and you would think that a manager that has lived by the righty/righty-lefty/lefty pitching situation from the BP since he began managing the Sox would go to it in this situation.
