Even though Goulet was a good pick-up by the Blackhawks, I think most will admit he was on a slight downslide from the time the Blackhawks picked him up simply because of age. I think the last time the Hawks went out and got a true impact player was when they traded Denis Savard for Chris Chelios. That was more than 10 years ago under Keenan. I know there were more players involved in that deal, but I can't remember them off hand. And that deal wasn't popular at the time because Hawks fans loved Savvy but Chelios fit into the Hawks medieval "defensive style" of hockey.

I don't know about you, but I cannot link up to it. Having not read the story, I don't think "America will be spat upon" for this. The schedule makers didn't do the White Sox any favors for weekend series at USCF this year. Besides the weekend with the sCrUBS, our other interleague weekend opponent is SD. Big draw there. Not to mention weekend series with Tampa (1) and Texas (1). The remaining weekend series at USCF this year are against Detroit (3), Cleveland (2), Minnesota (1), Seattle (1), Oakland (1), and KC (1). The WS Champs come to USCF during the weekday along with the typical big draws of NY and Boston. Not to mention the NL Champion San Francisco Giants are during the weekday also. Most of your typically big draws are going to be hampered by the fact that they fall on the weekdays. Hopefully, Mondays and Tuesdays (half-price nights) and, quite possibly, a winning team will bring out the fans at least 2 weeknights every weekday homestand.
