If all you think Konerko has going for him is "his attitude," then I'm going to respectfully disagree with you.

We have alot of work to do as far as signings go....

You are correct. Frank is JR's guy. -

It also doesn't help your cause when you tell your season ticket holders, your most loyal fanbase, to "Shut Up" at a fan/Organization meeting after the "White Flag Trade." Just thought I'd add a point to a superior post YASNY! -
Having met his wife,i'd rather she f*** me first.:D:D Guido has first dibs

What are you going to say when Olivo starts the season in AAA and Josh PAul is the back-up to Sandy? ;) ;) Wanna go double or nothing on that case of beer HSC?
-
SUPAN????? he was not offered contract by kc............as i recall he used to kick on us a bit when he was on the mound here.....he would make a nice addition.... I'd take Supan or JB..... that's about it from what's left out there. Slim pickings when your owner is CHEAP AS f***!!!!!
-
Well, according to KW, they gave him an offer that would be more then Zito, Sabathia, etc. Don't know how true it is, but maybe they are trying. Should tell you one of two things Chisoxfn..... either KW is lying (probably the case) or Buehrle is smart and is off to St. Louis the first chance he gets. I'd be looking for room on a lifeboat if I was on the Titanic too. Can't say I blame him.
-
Also has to do something with the fact the he sucks and no other baseball team out there would sign him to a major league deal after last seasons debacle.
-
I'd take him over Ritchie in a heartbeat. Only problem is, if he's more expensive than Ritchie would be, then..... well..... I don't have to tell you who will be wearing the white with black pinstripes now do I HSC?
-
You ain't kidding.
-
Don't get your hopes up
-
That's because he sucks and only one GM in MLB would trade for him and he traded away 3 pitchers..... not just one.
-
One thing's for sure..... If Alomar commanded a $10 million dollar price tag there's no way he'd be on this team.
-
Can't say guys like me, RPS, Guido, LDF, Baggio, Jjav and company didn't try to tell you. Now, if we can only get you to see the light where KW is concerned.....

Millwood From Braves to Phillies
CubKilla replied to suffering-nomore-sox fan's topic in Pale Hose Talk
You are finally starting to see the light grasshopper. I'm done getting pissed about stuff like this. It has become commonplace. This team is one move away from me boycotting Comiskey until KW no longer GM's the team and JR no longer owns it. It wouldn't surprise me one bit though if Millwood told his agent to not even consider the White Sox given JR's history and public opinion about pitchers. -
yeah but it has alway been a custom to give up the number to the superstar or to the one with the senority. but rowand is a team player i that is what i like about him. Koch must have seniority because Koch is no superstar yet. But Rowand is the kind of guy that gives 100% every game he plays. IT goes without saying that he is a team guy.

If I remember correctly. Dotson was the #2 pitcher in '83..... behind #1 Hoyt..... and in front of #3 Bannister and #4 Burns. My question..... who was the Sox 5th pitcher in '83 or did they go with, primarily, a 4 arm staff? I'm drawing a blank. How's Jerry Koosman sound? Thank you witesoxfan. That was gonna bother me all night. For what it's worth, I thought it started with a "K" but I was thinking "Kaufman" for some reason.

the same has to be true with you as well. ref the s*** blocking your eyes. 1. making the trade for clayton, against alot of people advice b/c he is a cancer. 2. firing the hitting coach b/c of clayton displeasure with him. 3. trading and f***ing up the la trade, berry vs berry 4. the clayton business to many to list, but after the 9/11 in kc he was sitting on the bench when everyone was out in the field for a moment of silence. 5. trading well, fogg and lowe for ritchie. 6. not getting rid of clayton sooner and still having to swallow his salary 7. trading for some players that never made it to the bigs. 8. the well trade that was a fiasco from the start, 9. getting fleeced in the ray durham trade that ALL the sport community agreed that kw was taken to the bank. which we still had to pay a mojority of his salary. 10. not pulling the trade on the howry trade when alot of people said to do it. 11. setting up the spy network 12 his clubhouse fiasco. 13. his failure to fire nardi sooner and yet deal with his friends in a postive way in the minors. now this is not as important to me b/c they may have been asking for the bank, but the fa's and drafting is a wash to a certain extent. but his crediablity is shot in what 3 yrs as gm wow. Thanks LDF. I didn't really feel like writing a point-to-point analysis as to why KW sucks so far in his job as GM. But you pretty much hit on all of them. Like the SCORE KW interview re-cap..... Thanks again

If you haven't seen the light by now, you never will.
-
Urlacher and Booker don't surprise me.
-
I "flame him" because the difference between KW and a good GM is that a good GM gets his man without sacrificing the players that he should be building around.
-
Good job Jjav. I listened to the segment while at work and you covered everything. But does anybody really buy the "unscreened calls" nonsense? And how about how uneasy KW sounded (and he admitted he felt) when he was settling in at the beginning with Jiggets? I think even KW expected backlash. I think the SCORE did a very careful job of who they did and did not let on the air.
-
Believe it or not..... no. There are a few more like you on these boards that have bought a bottle of KW's "Toad Ritchie Snake Oil."
