  1. We are stuck with Shields, nobody is going to want to deal for him this offseason. 2017 rotation: Sale Quintana Shields Rodon Fulmer We better hope Shields and Rodon are good next year
  2. QUOTE (harkness @ Jul 16, 2016 -> 12:03 AM) 3-9 is well below .500... Though I'm not even sure what you meant by that. I meant that's a small sample size for a 500 team and doesn't mean anything. Even if this team was 50 and 25 that still wouldn't mean much
  3. That doesn't mean anything considering this is just a 500 team
  4. Just another tip of your cap to a phenomenal pitcher in Santiago. Second time he displays his pitching dominance against the Sox. Oh wait he has a 5.5 ERA against every other team? Hmm.
  5. QUOTE (Footlongcomiskeydog @ Jul 9, 2016 -> 01:21 PM) The White Sox have a hitting philosophy? Yes, it's called "tip your cap"
  6. Beckham doing great things since getting away from the White Sox hitting philosophy
  7. Looks like they aren't going the "stretch him to be a starter" route.
  8. Wow this thread is getting really off topic. I am interested to see how Anderson does after the league adjusts to him. I hope he continues to tear it up, he has been quite the spark plug for this offense.
  9. He is out but there isn't enough definitive proof
  10. Cant wait for the false hope run It ain't over boys!
  11. Tired of watching the same old savior turned loser Dunn, Laroche, now Frazier Sigh at least he plays well at 3rd
  12. Shuck looked like a clown on that swing my goodness
  13. right down the gut man choke up on the damn bat
  14. Posted this in the game thread: Adam Eaton's line against Detroit, KC, and Cleveland: .177 AVG, .213 OBP, .302 Slugging He really needs to get going against them. If he can get out of this mental funk against these teams then the rest of the lineup will follow.
  15. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 12, 2016 -> 09:40 PM) LOL at the patsies, the White Sox. Once again they are just what the doctor ordered for a lousy, struggling KC team. Ventura can't get anybody out and he shuts down our horrible lineup. So Sox are 2-7 vs. KC this year. What a joke. 2-7 against a lousy Royals team with a bunch of no names in the lineup and horrible starting pitchers who get healthy on the Sox. Sox are one of the worst teams in baseball, that is now a fact. It is a mental thing For example you have Adam Eaton, who is on record of saying that the team was mentally defeated after last years opening series 4 game sweep to the Royals. He said they couldn't shake the feeling all year. Adam Eaton's line against Detroit, KC, and Cleveland: .177 AVG, .213 OBP, .302 Slugging He is just an example, I love Eaton and no I am not saying we should replace him or whatever. He is an amazing hitter, just not against these 3 teams. Whatever mental bug these guys have against the Central (minus the Twins) needs to be figured out if we want to have a chance at making a run in this division.
  16. Has been happening for years
  17. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 10, 2016 -> 12:55 PM) If Anderson is worse than Rollins and Shields worse than Latos and/or Anderson, someone is building their own grave. So I would think they are confident these are upgrades. Shields was awful, but he's not that bad. I think there is better than 50/50 shot he is better than Latos. Whether that's worth picking up the money they pay him, I don't know. If Anderson falls on his face, he'll just go back to Charlotte and Sanchez or someone else will take his place. It shouldn't be all that hard to get at least Rollins level production, but as we have seen before, sometimes that isn't as easy as it seems. So tired of the negativity. This team is at .500 with only 3.5 GB AT THE START OF JUNE! There is still months left. You would think the way you have been posting this team is 10 GB. There's still plenty of the season left. Must be brutal and depressing watching this team hoping shields is as bad or worse than shields.
  18. DUke is a pile of garbage
  19. K I can't watch this team anymore. I'll be back when they give us that 'false hope' run later in the year. I'm done after the draft
  20. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 7, 2016 -> 08:18 PM) An 8 game lead over the Tigers on May 6th turns into a 1/2 game lead for DET over the White Sox 24 games later. Not even a month. Pretty incredible. Nobody saw the Tigers coming until this weekend, although their pitching has quietly been coming together and 1-9 (especially with Maybin raking) that's the best overall line-up in the Central. unbelievable
  21. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Jun 7, 2016 -> 08:03 PM) Is it me it did it seem like Jackson didn't give 100% chasing down that ball? reminded me of the Texas misplay
  22. QUOTE (Vance Law @ Jun 5, 2016 -> 06:43 PM) Tim Anderson has put up a .725 OPS in his 2 months at AAA, is a clearly inferior defender than Saladino and you seriously think he should be in the majors? He has 0 walks in his last 46 AB (could even be more, didn't look past that)
  23. Already? Time flies
