However the positive is that I never read about a scout saying he was anything but a can't miss prospect. Hopefully he was pressing, Sept was a fluke, and half a season at Charlotte will cure whatever ailed him. His minor league stats reflect that he is a strike out waiting to happen, but they also show he hits the hell out of the ball when he makes contact and he can really run. Regarding Kopech, the stats say he is the real deal, but they may want to give him a private room in spring training since he likes to punch out his roomie.

Nice job by the Fire to come away with a draw being down to 10 men for much of the game. Accam hit the post when they were short handed and the way he is playing, I would have expected him to score in the second half if they were 11 vs 11.

Salty is a stiff ... and there is no double meaning there despite the fact that he married his high school gym teacher who is 14 years older than him. At the time he was 19.
