I'd like to point out a bright spot today. I thought Lamb looked very good making pitchers work and showing nice plate discipline. I was not sure of that signing but it initially looks solid. If he stays healthy, he could help.

Does LaRussa think the rule is that you cannot start warming anyone up in the bullpen until your pitcher has faced 3 batters? Asking for a friend.

Totally agree and to not have anyone warming up for so long was perplexing.

I still do not believe how long he had Foster in there before ever even getting someone up in the pen. Foster never should have faced another batter after France.

I don't disagree with the point of this thread but the thing is that it did not have to be Hendricks in the 6th. Bummer was going to be used today as well so they could have gone to him in the 6th when the game was on the line.

Foster should not have faced another hitter after he was unable to finish off France....but noone was even warming up yet. Unbelievably bad bullpen management.

I think Lynn could have gone longer in his last start...Hoping for a nice long outing for opening day.
