MLB to Portland? Agreement in principle for ballpark land via Forbes
If the Rays get their proposed stadium in Ybor approved, they're not going anyway. Don't agree. Biggest issue with the Rays attendance is 1) they currently have one of the 2-3 worst stadiums in Baseball, and 2) it's in a terrible location traffic wise that no one from Tampa wants to drive to after work. The new stadium fixes both those issues.

Mariners front office accused of racism
Being true would require a greater burden of proof than just having merit. Your numbers are very specific. If you can state such specific numbers, you'd surely have a source. Otherwise you're just BSing. Saying that "a million stories came out when the Kavanaugh stuff was going on" is not helping your claim. Especially since even in the specific case against Kavanaugh, several of the accusers were unequivocally proven to be flat out lying.

Mariners front office accused of racism
Pretty sure you just pulled this out of your ass. Not sure what stats are publicly available on this, but in terms of the federal government, only about 30% of EEO allegations are found to have merit. I would assume that it is likely pretty close to the same in the private sector.

Rick Renteria Signs Contract Extension, length unknown
Good. The kids still don't know how to bunt and Ricky's the best man to teach them

Mariners planning to tear it down
sorry but why would Paxton require a massive return? The guy hasn't pitched more than 160 innings in any season. I'd maybe give up Adolfo for him.

Rosenthal: “rival exec believe white Sox will spend big”
I keep going back and forth on who id prefer between machado and harper. Machado fills a bigger need but he also seems like the type that may turn into a hanley ramirez. Harper doesnt fit a need, but i think he’ll age better and hes the face of baseball which would be huge for getting more national attention.

Rebuild
REqlly hard to judge at this point. Sox prospects got hit with the injury bug last year. Thats why it was important to stockpile them. Some will work out, some wont. Some will have blips where they perform terribly, and then figure it all out and bounce back. Sox need maybe a quarter to a third of them to actually hit. Then surround them with smart free agent signings.

Rebuild phase 2: Free agent spending
Isnt keuchel a free agent too? I like corbin, but keuchels been more consistent, and i think his pitching style would translate to less of a breakdown in his 30s since he isnt a power guy. Id even give keuchel a 4-5 year deal. Him, donaldson, and herrera in free agency and i think the white sox are competitive again next year (this is assuming they cant get machado or harper).

Rebuild phase 2: Free agent spending
I’m a huge buy on Donaldson. It doesn’t matter what you pay him as long as you don’t give him a long term deal.

The Stopgap plan for 2019-20
Go all out and try to get Machado. If they can’t a 2 year deal for Donaldson makes a ton of sense. I’m not as high on arrenado as most are. He has drastic home/away splits and his defense is only going to decline as he ages. If they can’t get machado, get Donaldson for 2 years and then reevaluate. A lot can change in that time. As as for pitchers, get either keuchel or Corbin. For center...who the hell knows, there really aren’t many premier center fielders in the game right now other than trout

Giolito is saving his season
Gio's turnaround this year has been arguably the highlight of the year for me. Considering the uptick in velocity and different release point over the last month compared to earlier in the year, this to me signifies that this isn't a fluke and is likely to continue into next year. Him, Kopech, and Rodon developing this year has been a joy to watch. If these three keep it up, the WSox are going to surprise a lot of teams next year.

Kopech the latest MLB player with questionable Twitter history
That's not my point. My point is there is a difference between being offensive and being racist, sexist, homophobic, etc. Offensiveness is stating something that can be considered to be repugnant. Racism, sexism, homophobia, etc. come from a place of hatred or superiority towards others not in that group. You can say something that some group may consider to be offensive, but does not mean that the statement jumps to the level of racism/sexism, etc.
