  2. The Cleveland Guardians would like a word.
  3. Well, if the Sox face the Giants in the world series, hopefully they have the same results against Rodon as they are today.
  4. Ahaha that's funny. And true.

  8. Gio looks like he beefed up in the offseason
  9. Robert wins both regular season and World Series MVP
  10. The only thing you'd really have in baseball that might be considered a specialist is the backup pinch-runner. Used to be left-handed specialists before the 3-batter minimum rule.
  11. His name is Jake bigmac Burger. Kidding. Kind of.
  12. I wonder if they are going to go with Vaughn and Sheets in RF, and have Adolfo be a backup as he is out of options
  13. I thought the White Sox have a requirement that everyone on the 40 man be vaccinated? Or am I wrong on that?
  14. I mean, I don't think it's fair to take 2 separate teams and use that as the argument for what success looks like. "44 combined years." Okay, but the Yankees won three straight not relatively that long ago in 1998, 1999, 2000 and then made it in 2001 but lost the championship. Then won it all again a few years later. That is success, and honestly should be what the Sox are aiming for. No matter how farfetched it may seem. When Hahn says "multiple championships", that late 90s early 2000s Yankees team should be the goal. But, the game has changed. You can't just win under that model anymore. So how do you rattle off multiple championships in today's game? I'm not entirely sure of that, but you can't just buy championships like the Yankees used to anymore. In my personal opinion, the fist step needs to be: keep your team healthy. The health of the team should be priority #1. And the Sox were one of the best teams at doing that until Hermy left.
  15. That's some good analysis. Until a team like the Pirates swoops in like the Twins did with Correa and blows everyone out of the water.
  16. I'll just be on the record as saying this rebuild will be a conplete and utter failure, and I think Rick Hahn would agree, if the Sox did not at least win one championship, when really the goal is to build for multiple.
  17. Sure, that's fair. But I figured most of us on here who are probably old enough to remember 2005 would argue that was the best year of any Sox season any of us have experienced, because they won it all. Not 2000 or 2008 or 2020 or 2021 when they were just in the conversation and made it to the postseason. Sure, there were memorable moments like the two blackout games and Thome's homerun and Griffey's throw to homeplate, and the crowd in 2021 and Leury's bomb. But nothing even comes close to 2005. That is the ultimate prize.
