  1. This has been such a fun game to watch
  2. Houston won the season series right? So if they have the same record at the end of the season and they play each other in the 1st round, wouldn't Houston have the homefield advantage for the series?
  3. I love Los and what he's done this year. Just an amazing, if not the most amazing underrated story of this team. But his injury history just scares the hell out of me. I do not want this team crippled by another John Danks contract situation...not in this championship window
  4. I do not disagree with the vaccinations. I believe they work. I am vaccinated myself. However, there are some people who are not able to get vaccinated due to health reasons, or whatever it may be. Not everyone can get them. Those that don't want it because they believe that it's evil conspiracy, or whatever, well, I think that's a whole other issue that needs to be dealt with at the heart. What has caused them to believe what they do?
  5. Stone Pony taking a lot of time off. I wonder if he's gonna call it quits in a season or 2. Or maybe it's because they aren't traveling to other ballparks and he's stuck in Chicago
  6. Wow, they are really hyping him up. Like, almost Luis Robert-esque. Great defender, great power, athletic, speed, even has positional versatility. Sounds like Leury has some competition.
  7. It's the first box on mine. Get your priorities straight.
  8. I literally would go to an MLB game just to see Robert play.
  9. 1st sentence: Oh I agree. He needed to go. But, if Cooper was here, all the problems that Kuechel and the bullpen are having would be blamed on him. That's all I'm saying. 2nd sentence: which journeyman pitcher do you speak of? The way Don Cooper left was unfortunate and probably left a sour taste in a lot of peoples' mouths, but he did some amazing things here in his prime with pitchers. He was the best of the best there for a while. Unfortunately, I think toward the end he tried to make all the pitchers do the same thing (like getting rid of the curveball), rather than working toward their individual strengths. 3rd sentence: Sycophant isn't a real word ? but you're probably right in that him being here too long could be attributed to Jerry and his loyalty. But so what? He was here during the rebuild and that's it. He isn't here now, and it took Jerry some balls to allow him to be let go.
  10. Hey I'll admit I was wrong. Very happy about the outcome and glad they all had a great time! Those cubs fans though...
  11. Well I guess you never know what a lineup is gonna do. Great production from all the big boppers today. Abreu, Eloy, Grandal, Robert all with huge games.
  12. I get the rationale they have with the post season. But there are fans paying to see these guys play. It's been how many years since they've fielded a truly professional team? I'd be pissed if I was going to the game today
  13. Let me rephrase my reply. I'm sure the cubs fans from 2015-2019 said the same thing about the sox players just as you, a sox fan, is saying the same thing about the cubs players in 2021.
  14. I'm sure their fans said the same thing about us since 2016
  15. Guaranteed rate is such a stupid ass name for a professional sports venue
  16. If he was still here, it would all be Cooper's fault
  17. If the post season started today, I think he would have a spot in the bullpen, purely because of the experience he brings, but I think he would have a real short leash. He's got another month to turn it around. Remember, this is his first full season since 2018. He played a half season for Atlanta in 2019 and obviously the pandemic shortened 2020. He could very well just be tired...or maybe he's pitching hurt.
  18. Great piece of hitting by Yoan to flick that out there. Could've taken the walk but got the rbi instead.
  19. Maybe he is pitching hurt. Or just fatigued. Isn't this his first full season in over 2 years? Covid last year and in 2019 I think he only pitched half a season for Atlanta.
