  1. I love Jose Abreu. He so deserves to be here for at the very least one playoff berth
  2. Leury reminds me alot of Eaton the way he hits
  3. Hasnt palka hit almost 30 bombs in aaa?
  4. Eh, i don't think it's really stupid. There are similarities among people who are inherantly from certain parts of the world. Northern white Europeans are going to have a lot of the same physical attributes as other northern white Europeans. Same as Africans, central Americans, and so on. I can see why people do it. White guys look like other white guys and black guys look like other black guys...
  5. I think man of steal is really creative. Dude steals bases on the basebaths and robs hit/homeruns in the outfield.
  6. Super Nova has some filthy movement on his pitches early. 9 pitch first inning. Ill take that all day.
  7. This. He would destroy the culture that is being built and is so crucial as the foundation to a championship and sustainable winning ballclub.
  8. Gross
  9. See the quote above yours Dick Allen. Not sure who "they" is, but it could very well be the reason he is hot now
  10. If you listen to the sox talk podcast that hahn was on, he explains the reasoning behind it and it makes sense. Obviously something worked because look at Collins now. Destroying the league. Just because the organization makes decisions that don't make sense to us fans doesn't mean they are wrong. I'm sure there was a plan with Collins from the start before the called him up and I'm sure he knew how it was going to work.
  11. It definitely goes back to players on the 05 team. I'm sure Konerko and Pierzynski were one of the best players in the sport during their primes with us
  12. I don't either. Jose has been extremely healthy too except for some freak accidents last year. With how hard he works and how dedicated he is, I bet he he still has good years through age 35 season...like top 10 in league first base/DH years. Although I do think he should be at DH.
  13. Amazing what a difference a lineup can look with just one name added.
  14. Available today i wonder?
  15. Get some Gio!!! What a fucking start. Proved all the haters wrong. Props to Parkman for continuing to believe in him. This was so much fun.
  16. Eh, I'm not sure. Bullpens can be such crap-shoots. Happens all over the league. Guys can be elite one year and mediocre the next, then elite again the next. I think Marshall has deserved another shot as a middle reliever next year for sure. Part of the Sox future? Will have to wait and see. I think if anything, the bullpen is going to be the piece that changes the most often, and will be the most high-maintenced part of the team during the winning years once everything else is fairly solidified.
  17. I honestly think the most important take-away from this year is that guys like Gio, Moncada, Anderson, McCann, Bummer and Marshall is not only have they been good...they've been good all year, elite even. They've shown their developments aren't just some fluke. Hell, even Leury. He may not be elite, but he is definitely very good. I always thought, all he needs to do is stay healthy and he will open eyes. Well, he's done that, and he's shown what he can do. And he's kept his numbers up all year as well as play solid defense in center, as well as short in Tim's absence.
  18. Yolmer heating up a little bit. That average over .250 now.
  19. Gio is so different from last year. Confidence just oozing out of his body. He has Nintendo stuff today.
  20. Abreu now 3-3 with a double. But he's aging. He sucks. He's getting worse. . Swings at too many sliders outside. Right.
  21. Curious about everyone's opinion on this. If it meant the difference between a playoff berth and just missing the ppayoffs by like 3-5 games, would you rather Robert, Moncada and Kopech start the season on the Sox for those extra wins to get into the playoffs, or would you rather Madrigal and Robert come up after a few weeks to retain the extra year of control, and Kopech get his "rehab starts" in AAA?
  22. Cubs fans dont care for their front office either and. Lol, a lot of them have called for Maddon to be fired. Give me a break.
  23. Yeah but most people don't have millions of others hearing their reasoning on national tv. That was my point. I get it. It's in his job description. He signed up for it. Yadayadayada. Still would drive me insane having to do that every day. Would probably drive you insane too.
