Sox still in the running for Harper/Machado
We're in the thick of the Holiday season. I would be shocked if any signings happened between now and New Years Day, let alone the big guys.

Harper to Phillies 13yr/330 mil
How the hell would he know? Quotes from who? This is beginning to look a lot like the major news media outlets where everyone makes up stories to cater to their agenda.

You won't do it

Sox reach new TV deal with NBC Sports
So does this mean the Sox will no longer be on WGN after 2019?

Update: Machado met with Sox
Except DH isn't really a position. You're playing for what, 10-15 minutes of the entire game? I'd hate it too if I was in the MLB and under 35 years old...

Harper to Phillies 13yr/330 mil
How sweet it will be when/if he signs with the Sox and can blow away all the haters.

Not gonna lie, the McCann and Alonso deals are kind of kick in the balls after all the Harper hype...

White Sox Sign C James McCann
I remember on one of the soxtalk podcasts, they had mentioned that a very respected and successful pitcher said there is only about 3 very good framers in the entire game. You can put everyone else in the same category. I understand the importance of it, especially with our young pitchers, but I don't think it's as a big of a deal as people think, as probably 90 percent of the teams are in the same boat as the Sox.

Rosenthal: Could Harper be headed to the southside
Can't speak for St Louis or Cleveland, but have been to Milwaukee and Detroit multiple times. Neither places are shitholes. They definitely have those areas you don't want to wander into, but they are great cities. Especially Detroit, which is slowly building back up and has so much culture. The people there are so friendly.

Herm Schneider to become Head Athletic Trainer Emeritus
Sad day. Still amazes me that we still have personnel in that dugout dating back to before the 05 championship season. I think Coop is the only one left? His time also is probably coming near to the end. 5 years? Bittersweet this is.

Heyman says White Sox interested in Nelson Cruz
Yet, he still won the silver slugger. We literally have the beat first baseman in the American League right now.

Abreu wants to stay long term
Unless they can sign Goldshit, which is not gonna happen, is there really anyone out there to take his spot? He won friggin silver slugger this year and it was the worst season of his career. He's not going anywhere. If he's injury free this season I would actually bet money that he comes in the top 5 in voting in comeback player of the year,. The front office loves him, he obviously loves the Sox and Chicago, you got Moncada on the team and Robert on his way for Abreu to do his grasshopper thang. Yeah, dude isn't going anywhere.

White Sox Bryce Harper FA pitch spoiler?
Not sure if this has been said yet...but Harper played outfield next to Adam Eaton for a considerable amount of time...I'm sure Adam has told him his feelings about the Sox organization, which I don't really think Eaton had a very positive experience here. I wonder if that might play into Harper's decision.
