  1. Hold out for Gleyber Torres. He is doing ok so far but not well enough to make him untouchable. I do believe they are closer than they thought they were and might consider including Gleyber if Q can help them make a deep playoff run this year.
  2. If the Yankees keep this up we might get a good offer for Q
  3. Is Swarzak the Albers of 2016? Hard to believe this is all for real after what happened last year.
  4. About those people last year who said managers don't matter and are irrelevant...........Ready to eat your crow yet or do I have to go digging to name and shame you
  5. So Eaton got Tilson'd? Wouldn't be surprised if Sale went down too those pitch counts are adding up.
  6. QUOTE (steveno89 @ Apr 25, 2017 -> 02:55 PM) 2020 C - Collins 1B - FA 2B - Moncada SS - Anderson 3B - Delmonico LF - Draft this Year (Beer?) CF - Robert RF - Trade (Q - Tucker?) DH - FA/Trade (Q - AJ Reed?) Starting 5 Possibilities: Rodon, Kopech, Lopez, Giolito, Fulmer, Hansen, Dunning, Stephens, Adams Trades coming, drafts coming, free agents coming, yay. Gotta love penciling in a 19 year old international free agent who is currently unsigned into our projected contention roster Get Tucker, AJ Reed, Martes, and 1 more for Q? Delmonico is playing better than Moncada in AAA don't know how you don't have him penciled in.
  7. Amazing that we could probably get some decent fliers for Gonzalez, Holland, and Swarzak.
  8. Play Davidson every day. Enough with this bs. Delmonico better be playing every day when he comes up too.
  9. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 23, 2017 -> 01:52 PM) http://m.mlb.com/news/article/226034400/wh...or-fourth-game/ If melky is injured he shouldn't be playing. DH Davidson
  10. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 21, 2017 -> 08:56 PM) Benetti just asked the dumbest question of all time. Don't worry question fest is here to stay for decades to come.
  11. QUOTE (reiks12 @ Apr 20, 2017 -> 11:29 AM) Those were established players in MLB though, Reinsdorf is on record saying he doesn't like prospects No wonder this team has sucked for so long
  12. QUOTE (AJUribe @ Apr 9, 2017 -> 10:45 PM) I've heard whispers he may be available by the trade deadline. From my sources losing the first two starts have tempered interests in a few possibly contending team. Teams that were interested do want to acquire the southpaw from southern hemisphere and are now quietly rooting for the young man to have an inflated era in the hopes they can somehow get a better deal. Basically Q is going to be awful for us because it is simply impossible for him to care when he knows he's getting traded and it completely effects his entire psyche. Hahn's a ballbreaker and l think he'd rather sit on Q before taking a penny less than his preseason asking price. He'll be going to a playoff team it's not like we're shipping him off to a bad situation.
  13. Delmonico will be the big surprise.
  14. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Apr 8, 2017 -> 05:27 PM) I like this catching platoon quite a bit. In fact, I'm finding myself liking this team despite the fact that 1/3 of the lineup doesn't really deserve a MLB roster spot. A lot of people liked the team last year at this time. Just look how it turned out....
  15. Wouldn't mind rolling with Moncada, Delmonico, and Davidson full time in the lineup by summer.
  16. Moncada would look awful nice in CF. 7 for 11 to start the year in AAA
  17. Less interesting to me now that they won the World Series. If the Indians didn't choke I'd be interested to see how they bounced back from a brutal World Series loss.
  18. Hopefully we have automatic losses from the pitching staff every 3/5 games. Don't see Q getting much support. Should be one of the worst teams in baseball.
  19. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Mar 28, 2017 -> 07:51 PM) Houston has had a team for 55 years without winning a World Series. They have a chance this year but are dicking around. Yea I hope they beg for Q at the deadline and Hahn strip mines their system or some other teams beat their best offer. The Sox whooped your ass in 2005 and they will whoop your ass in the Q sweepstakes one way or another. Have fun not winning the World Series but hey you will get to keep your precious prospects. Yeah Astros will easily come up short with their current staff. I don't think their prospects are any better than any other team can give that wants to field a worthy offer. I prefer the Yankees prospects anyway. Oh well let them learn the hard way. Red Sox thought they could skate by at the deadline last year with protecting their top prospects and look what happened the following offseason. I say clean out the Astros system if they come back begging. Make them pay a premium.
  20. QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Mar 27, 2017 -> 11:00 PM) Not sure if it really makes a difference for a fringe prospect like May, but why not keep him in the minors for a couple weeks to get the extra year of control just in case he becomes something in the big leagues? He'd get signed to a cheap extension early if he's any good.
  21. Hawks brutal honesty with the Danks circus last year was entertaining.
  22. QUOTE (hi8is @ Mar 13, 2017 -> 04:58 PM) I have a feeling Rutherford will be Benintendi-lite in about 6 months time. Meaning, he's gonna crush it and become an off the table asset. Yep I'd be good with Frazier, Rutherford, and a few pitchers. No need for Mateo and Torres probably getting too much hype to make a deal happen right now.
