True but usually to win a title in a given year you want to either have made the playoffs a lot prior to, have super stud pitching, or enter the season as a top three team in baseball. Talent won't guarantee championships, but the teams that have the most typically win.

Yep. I wouldn't mind trying to get guys on short term deals to try and win one or two quickly. We also need to injury proof our team, so having more than necessary will help us to avoid injury slumps. I think we should be closely monitoring the Michael Brantley situation. If he can only get a one or two year deal we need to get him here. He can DH as a lefty, and fill in for Eloy when he injures himself running. Vaughn can spend the year in the minors and play more next year.

We did what you said in building the organization. Now is time to make additions to put us over the top for 5 years or so. We will have chances to build our system back up over the years, but we cannot stay pat and just be the Twins and A's.
