Rumor: Sox discussing deal with Cubs/Rangers
That's because they are frauds. I believe a few of them have minor contacts that gave them info, but for the most part they are throwing you know what at a wall.

Q to South Side? Reporters think so.
Define reporters?

Any reason why he thinks this?

Looks like we know who NSC really is.

Sounds like more BS from NSC. And of course a bunch of stuff already out there.

Who Will Be The Manager When The White Sox Win The World Series Again?
TLR got this in the bag.

Dodgers sign Bauer (3/102, opt-outs, 40-45-17)
I think this is the sweet spot and I would definitely do it.

Kyle Schwarber signs with Nationals: 1 year 10mil
Well, like, omg, yeaaaah. Teams try their best to win games. The key is to have guys that are plus players over a period of time. And Schwarber would bat 7th in our lineup at best next year, so we don't need him to be a clutch star.

Meaning nothing is getting done this week.

If Vaughn is not here and we need a DH I'd strongly consider Schwarber and Nelson Cruz.

Joc Pederson: How long will he be a future White Sox?
They love Joc though, and that is the difference.

Passan: Springer to White Sox not happening
Why would the Sox go from an offer that pays 175 million to one that could pay 320 million without thinking another team offered 300 million at some point?

She got her dream house and car. If she wants to get petty she can move back to 63rd and Damen lol.

Passan: Springer to White Sox not happening
Yep, just like my BS Ebay offer I posted about above.
-
Passan: Springer to White Sox not happening
That offer was real. But no real chance of it being signed. I will give you an example. Years ago, my wife wanted a very expensive item that I found ugly and useless. It was on Ebay and the starting bid was 900 dollars. I did research on Ebay and saw that this item would not be sold for less than $1200, as that was a used and average condition version of the item. I told her we would put in bids and started by requesting $950. The bids kept going up and asking me to offer more. I played this game until I got to my last offer of $1,150. I told her at that point we need to tap out because the price was getting out of control. She agreed and moved on with her life. In this scenario I bid big money, but I knew my offer had no chance of getting accepted by the seller and it made it appear to my wife that I tried hard to make her happy.

I mean if we are out on Springer, and it looks like that is the case, of course they will sign someone else soon.

Yep this is definitely what happened with Wheeler. I wouldn't be surprised if Wheeler told his agent to find a NL team over AL. And used location to not sound like a pansy.

This sounds a lot like 4 and 95 over 5 and 115.

They said that their deal was better than the Padres. Also, the Sox went from 7/175 to 250 with incentives that would pass 300 million. They knew the Padres offer was real.

If DK were a big fish he would have been signed the year prior to a big deal regardless of compensation. I'd consider Grandal a big fish for a catcher, not in general.

There was zero chance of Manny signing for a guaranteed 250 million over a guaranteed 300 million, no matter how many shades Kenny wore. Fans are a big part of the team's revenue, so letting them know we are trying to get big fish is not a waste of their time and efforts. it is worth the investment. This being said, I think we really did want Manny at 7/175. I think we wanted Wheeler as well.

I do think we wanted Manny, just at that lowball 7 year and 175 million dollar offer. Once the stakes raised, I think they wanted to be outbid, and creatively found a way to do so without looking like fools for signing his brother in law and friend.

Uh, I don't think so. If he signs with the Cardinals it'll be to be a RF for the Cardinals for the most money. Do minor league teams even meet with big league clubs? Most aren't even in the same state as the big club.

That money will be used to cover losses from the pandemic lol.
