Dude, that deal has been done. Ishbia free to spend or to not spend, and so far, he has chosen NOT to spend. He is laying back like a private equity investor or something.

Brooks Boyer should consider adding a Pope puff of white smoke behind the scoreboard after any home win.

My own opinion is from watching a lot of games this year and many years past. So I prefer Vargas at third where he has made numerous outstanding plays. I would put Sosa at 1B unless a better hitter becomes available. The thing is that Sosa hits the ball hard and is a clutch hitter so IMO he needs to be somewhere in the line-up. Baldwin is a butcher in the outfield and is an easy strike-out for any pitcher who has read his scouting report. I guess the Sox do not have many alternatives so let Baldwin take some vicious cuts in case he runs into one.

Two bad plays (Robert Jr. and Baldwin) but some memorable defensive plays...Teel sliding throw and the tag at home, Meidroth unbelievably pouncing on overthrow to get the runner at first, and Rojas catching a smoked ground ball and throwing to second.

If you watched this game and are complaining about the announcers....come on now. Go Sox.

Cubs need a sweep. I Pope they don't get one.

Pummeled ....the Rays.

Phew.

to second

Robert has to go.

rough loss on its way. .

There have been some tough losses this season, but this one would rank.

This game is far from over. Rays can hit.

Yea, Colson needs to go back to minors and learn how to hit outside high fastballs,,,,or lay off them. Also catch routine fly balls in center and left. Maybe see him next year.

Yea, Baldwin has to go. He can't hit and doesn't play any position at the major league level.

South side food : If you like an occasional tamale...try the classic Chicago polenta coated tamales at Portillo. Better than TomTom, Superior, etc. IMO. Hungry now. I'll take a hot dog.

You're a professional chef man.

cub fans get that just outside Wrigley in Boys Town. ew.

That's your opinion.

As I have said before, Vasil has balls of steel. Sox have to hold on to this guy for next season.

Mauricio? Uh no, no thank you. https://nypost.com/2025/07/19/sports/ronny-mauricio-elicits-boos-from-mets-fans-following-costly-error/aricio?
