  1. QUOTE (bmags @ Jan 7, 2013 -> 11:02 PM) For the record SEC will be what, 6-3 in bowl season. That's pretty good. LSU and FLA with clunkers but they were inconsistent all year. And LSU lost to a really good Clemson team mostly because of bad coaching late. Florida was really the only SEC team with a terrible performance and they looked like they didn't even want to be out there.
  2. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jan 4, 2013 -> 11:56 AM) How is a .560 winning percentage and playoff appearances 3 times in 9 years, going 3-3, "above average?" He was a good defensive coach and a f***ing horrendous offensive coach. That's indisputable. How can you just ignore half of his job? Lovie did not do a good job picking offensive coordinators but please list the good offenses in the NFL that have had QBs the caliber of Orton or Grossman or an offensive line as bad as the Bears have had the last few years. I think you will fine that with few exceptions, they don't exist.
  3. Nearly definitive evidence that Colorado got screwed.
  4. Great play from the Bulls frontcourt today. Kirk Hinrich continues to be an embarrassment to the game of basketball though.
  5. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jan 2, 2013 -> 11:02 PM) If the bad losses pile up, and this team misses the tourney, there will be a target on him. Hell, reading the Illini boards tonight, it seems that is already the case. Wel then people are forgetting we were terrible last year and lost our only Big 10 caliber big man.
  6. We have the worst frontcourt in the Big 10 and one of the worst fontcourts in America. Our guards are good enough to beat anyone when they are on but if they are off at all it is hard to win. McClaurin is terrible and Griffey is worthless other than the occasional made jumper. Egwu has upside but is awful right now. None of those guys should play more than 15 minutes on a good team.
  7. Florida St.'s playcalling is horrendous. Better play calling and this game is over already.
  8. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 31, 2012 -> 12:45 PM) And say what you will about lovie, he did leave chicago with a winning record, and that will play very favorably for him on the coach market. And made a Super Bowl with Rex freaking Grossman as his quarterback. The only other starting quarterback in the last 15 years that was as bad as Grossman was Trent Dilfer and he played on a team with arguably the greatest defense of all time. It is nearly impossible to make a Super Bowl with a QB as bad as Grossman starting for you. Lovie will land on his feet, hopefully the Bears don't f*** up this hire but I fully expect them to.
  9. Adrian Peterson should absolutely win the MVP. What an incredible season by him.
  10. Really Minnesota, you give the f***ing carry to Gerhart in the redzone. Go f*** yourselves.
  11. Also, hopefully this isn't the start of Richardson's annual slump. He missed an incredible amount of wide open 3s today.
  12. Tyler Griffey is the worst defensive player in college basketball. Really good shooter but he absolutely kills Illinois on the other end.
  13. Gutless bulls*** by the refs, McClaurin does nothing and gets t'd up along with Bowers. Just awful.
  14. Bowers should be T'd up here. Takes McClaurin to the ground then grabs his ankle as he McClaurin walks away. Can't allow that type of bulls***.
  15. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 18, 2012 -> 11:01 AM) Bradshaw claims he's playing. I figure he will play which obviously removes Wilson from the equation. I'm leaning Ballard for RB2 and have no leaning at all for who to start at flex.
  16. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Dec 17, 2012 -> 02:51 PM) He resubmitted his ballot with Indiana at six. In other crazy ESPN rankings though, Katz put butler sixth. Not that it matters at all, but how can anyone possibly justify putting Butler #6 and over Illinois when Illinois killed Butler on a neutral court?
  17. So I made my league's championship game. I need to decide on an RB2 out of the following 3: Leshoure, D. Wilson and Ballard. I am leaning Wilson if Bradshaw is out again. I also need to decide on a flex between the 3 RBs mentioned above plus Blackmon and Maclin. Anyone have any recs?
  18. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Dec 18, 2012 -> 07:54 AM) missed out on the championship by .7 points. I blame the people recommending the Lions D in this thread! Terrible luck there. The Lions D played well, its unfortunate that their offense/special teams gifted the Cardinals 28 points.
  19. I don't have kids but this really hit me hard today. Also, this may not be the right place for this but how the f*** can anyone believe or more importantly worship a god that is all knowing and all powerful when things like this happen. If a god does exist and really is all knowing and all powerful, I say that it can go f*** itself.
  20. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Dec 13, 2012 -> 01:32 PM) They can't unless there are transfers, there aren't any available. I realize that. If they are able to get the guys they want there will be transfers though.
  21. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Dec 12, 2012 -> 04:10 PM) Yeah, he's got some big ten offers, but when you have one scholarship, that's not who it should be going to, at least not yet. There will be more than one scholarship. They will give out 3 scholarships in the class of 2014 if they can get the guys they want.
  22. So Mike Thomas hired Brian Kelly and Butch Jones at Cincinnati. One is coaching for a national championship at ND and one just go the Tennessee job. This is about the only thing that gives me any hope that Beckman may not end up being the complete disaster he appears to be at Illinois.
  23. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Dec 6, 2012 -> 04:08 PM) Another coach who was in trouble in the Big10 getting a golden parachute from the SEC. What is going on. How was Bielema in trouble? I know you don't love the guy but he has three straight Rose Bowl appearances. He wasn't going anywhere unless he decided to anytime soon.
  24. QUOTE (RZZZA @ Dec 6, 2012 -> 12:10 AM) Meh. Two people that need to start playing better are Noah and Deng. They're our all-stars and they need to play liek all-stars: consistently good. Noah seems to have found a better offensive game but it doesn't show up every night. Deng needs to step up but he's trying to do things he's never been that great at: dribbling, creating, going iso. Yesterday I thought his poor play cost us the game. He let Paul George go off and he caused many key turnovers. Today, while he played pretty well, he's still turning the ball over as much as he's assisting buckets. He's got to play better, a 15 PER (and I know some of you don't like PER) is just not good enough from a guy who is supposed to be our 2nd best player Same can be said for Boozer, but I've given up on Boozer. He's a goner soon any way. So we are just going to ignore your preseason predictions for Hinrich to actually be a good NBA player and blame the Bulls issues on two of the 3 or 4 guys on the team that have actually played good basketball? Starting caliber Nazr Mohammed looks awesome btw.
  25. It makes me sad that the Bulls could have had OJ Mayo for the same price as Kirk Hinrich. Instead of having a 25 year old SG with upside who has played extremely well this year we signed a guy who was clearly declining and has been amongst the worst players in the NBA. Awesome.
