White Sox decline option on Alexei Ramirez
I still really wish the Sox would have traded him 2 years ago when his value was high.

Do coaches not understand basic math? Northern Illinois just scored a TD that put them up 4 with 1:59 to go in the game. Rather than go for 2 put them up 6 and require Toledo to make the extra point to win they instead kick the extra point. Now obviously it is unlikely that if Toledo gets a TD they miss the extra point but it does happen so why not make them kick it.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Nov 3, 2015 -> 02:22 PM) Oh yeah, for sure. Also, what was the point of his relationship with the cap girl? What did that add to the movie other than some small conversations to fill out the day? To add some additional personal life drama for Costner's character I guess. It was just an absolutely horrible movie all around.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Nov 3, 2015 -> 02:11 PM) Caught up on some movies this weekend: John Wick. Highly enjoyable. I heard about a drinking game where you drink every time he shoots someone in the head.....I think you'd die if you played all the way through. Draft Day. Too boring for me. And also incredibly stupid. No franchise, not even the Browns, wait until hours before the draft to do ANY homework on a potential pick. The trades in that movie were also laughably unrealistic.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Nov 3, 2015 -> 12:01 AM) It was a bad call but I don't think it would have changed the outcome Not with the Colts only getting a FG but it gave the Colts a significantly better chance at getting a TD than they would have had otherwise.

Bad missed call by the refs saying that Whalen got out of bounds when he clearly didn't.

QUOTE (dasox24 @ Nov 2, 2015 -> 11:12 PM) For sure. I keep hearing people say "Oh man, is this the end of Luck?" or "Luck is regressing before our very eyes." I don't buy that at all. His OL is as bad as I've seen, and that's saying something coming from a Bears fan. And he's clearly hurt. Any QB playing with multiple broken ribs is going to have a difficult time being effective. I respect him for toughing it out. But it might be best for him to sit and get healthy. And as I'm typing this... Luck quickly drives down the field and throws a TD pass. We are seeing him miss throws badly that he routinely made last year. Even his TD pass just now wasn't a good throw at all. Something is wrong with him physically and it doesn't help that his offensive line is a joke and their WRs haven't been getting separation this year.

Watching Andrew Luck throw the ball this year there is no way he is healthy.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Nov 2, 2015 -> 09:01 PM) His O Line is terrible and they said he has been playing with multiple broken ribs since week 3 This. Plus their receivers haven't been getting open when I've watched them play this year.

Halo 5 is a huge disappointment. The maps for multiplayer are f***ing garbage and the campaign was incredibly repetitive.

Wow. Familia's last couple of blown saves have been incredibly unlucky. Terrible defense behind him.

Cubs-Mets (Better Team) NLCS
QUOTE (The Critic @ Oct 23, 2015 -> 04:05 AM) Arrieta's season reminded me a lot of Esteban Loaiza's 2003 season for the Sox. Jake will make a lot more money than Loaiza did after his 21-win year, though. The difference is that Arrieta was also a complete stud in 2014 as well whereas Loaiza had never come anywhere close to his 2003 numbers in his career before that season.

Cubs-Mets (Better Team) NLCS
QUOTE (Middle Buffalo @ Oct 22, 2015 -> 12:22 AM) July 31, the Mets were 53-50. They added Cespedes and took off. Toronto was 53-51. They added Price & Tulo. Texas was 50-52. They added Hamels. The Sox were 49-52. They did not add, but it's not inconceivable that Sale would remain dominant, Q would run into some luck and get some wins, and Shark would have a strong second half. If LaRoche, Melky and a few others play to their lifetime averages (which means getting hot for a few months), the Sox aren't as far out of it as they ended up. Going forward, you have to hope Rodon continues to improve, and maybe Fulmer shows up and is as good as 2015 Rodon. That would put the Sox staff on par with the Mets. If they can add a few dynamic bats, who knows, maybe the Sox make a run next year. Baseball, like football and hockey, seems to be about getting hot toward the end of the season and making a playoff run. The Blue Jays were one of the best teams in baseball even before those moves the results just hadn't caught up to how they were actually playing on the field which happens sometimes in baseball. I do think those trades helped ignite the team on a hot streak though but Toronto even before those moves was significantly more talented than the White Sox. While people like to bring up the Mets adding Cespedes as the reason for the turnaround they really essentially turned over half their lineup at the deadline or around the deadline as they also got Wright back from injury in August, d'Arnaud finally got healthy at that time and they brought up Conforto.

So do the Cubs take down Schwarber's stupid NLDS home run ball from the scoreboard now that they didn't win the World Series this year?

QUOTE (chw42 @ Oct 21, 2015 -> 10:17 PM) They're going to have 2-3 days off at least, so you might as well. Gotta have your closer on the mound in the series clinching game. World Series doesn't start until Tuesday so they will have 5 days off if they clinch tonight.

Schwarber is not a major league outfielder. Cubs need to hope he can make it as a catcher or that the NL adds the DH.
