How exactly is this guy getting real time updates from someone high up in the org. who is perfectly fine with him publicly sharing immediately on Twitter?

Keep him and let’s see what happens this season. I would really love to enjoy a baseball season again. If the org is that strapped for money, it makes zero sense to choose extending him for 20mil then eat half his contract for a return that simply adds some depth to the system.

The White Sox lineup is an OPS black hole. Year by year, day by day, it is honestly amazing to me how much lower their regular players’ OPS can shrink. I used to believe there’s no way each individual can stay this bad, but then every player does the unthinkable and actually lowers their pathetic floor. They have normalized the .400 OPS. Please bring back mired mediocrity.

Yeah, he’s bad. He was expected to take a step forward in ‘23 moving back to 1B, after a decent offensive season at 24yr. He has only gotten worse every season, and this year’s start has me wondering if he’s an MLB hitter by end of season.
