The question is if his contract is tradeable, and I gave an example of a worse contract that indeed got traded for a good prospect, not backend scrubs (Lopez).

yeah. But one was 35, one is 28. I'd much rather take the 7/224 still in prime 28 year old than the 5/120 35 year old.. Who wouldn't?

Or make the trade for backend 40 man types, and have the guaranteed best roster in the game. Plug and playing RF and 2B has been a disaster for 15 years

We have so much more pitching talent. Our offense is similar. Gotta pitch! I'll give them the offensive edge since we have 3 "weak spots", they have 2.

On average each spot in the order gets 20 at bats less than the guy in front of them. If Anderson bats #1 and Moncada #6, Moncada will have about 120 at bats less by the end of the year.
