If the Sox simply choose Abreu over JDM, this organization is a complete joke.. If we give Abreu more than 2 years regardless, this organization is a complete joke. I am on the side of having JDM as our #1 priority for offense. Having him as DH and signing Abreu to a 1 year deal, club option for year 2.

again.... 70 of those games you listed have a bad hitter at DH... makes no sense carrying 3 C. Grandal's entire value is dependent on him playing C.. He is not a DH

loll.. so who DHs the 100 games when he is catching? McCann? Collins? The whole, "lets carry 3 catchers so they can alternate at DH" is a complete and utter joke when 2 of those can't hit..

GRANDAL DOES NOT SOLVE DH

I'd much prefer him to Avi. Obviously I have 5+ guys ahead of him. But he'd be cheap, and a big improvement. He has averaged 2.5 WAR his past 10 seasons

after watching the Astros again.. He's a guy I would be completely fine with.

Dozier and Kipnis would both be cheap veteran options. Dozier has far more upside but Kipnis is LH and is familiar with our division

I don't think the amount of money given out is unrealistic.. I think signing the #4-8 free agents is unrealistic. There are other teams.

I actually think those contracts will be pretty accurate. He may be a tad low on McHugh but a tad high on Wood.

I am honestly SOOOO baffled by the overwhelming support of Grandal >>>> JD Martinez. It really doesn't make a ton of sense to me. Literally a top 3 hitter in the game. I understand Grandal is a good hitter and defender. But my lord, what catchers actually catch into their mid-30s and are successful? Certainly not many, if any. Plus many of you want to sign Grandal to DH him 2-3 times a week to get McCann in the lineup.... Isn't that what JD would do but on a far higher scale. LH vs RH batter matters if the hitters are close to the same scale.. But they are't even in the same stratosphere. I simply don't get it.

This is basically everything going right and us signing ALL of the big names outside the big 3 (Cole, Stras, Rendon). Sadly won't happen
