And let's not kid ourselves. We're the fanbase. Outside of these games, we're the only ones watching. Bad is bad. The average fan wants winners, and we're losers every year and we retry every year.

For too long we've built a pretender for those average fans. Make a few trades, a few FA signings, build up some hope, then the team falls flat. So what do we do? Well of course try it all again....and again. The average fan falls for it every time.

 

Luckily this year it seems things are different. We have valuable pieces to sell, a great market, and the willingness of the GM to listen. Those average fans? They may be pissed, but they weren't coming out very often anyway and if this team rebounds quickly they'll forget all about it
