July 29, 20169 yr Author QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 28, 2016 -> 09:21 AM) Could also look to the Giants. They have Conor Gillaspie manning the hot corner currently, with Duffy out to injury. Traded for Nunez today
July 29, 20169 yr QUOTE (GreenSox @ Jul 28, 2016 -> 09:11 AM) The Sox haven't had a 3B who was remotely competent since Crede (until Frazier). Beckham was fantastic at 3B in his rookie year.
July 29, 20169 yr QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jul 28, 2016 -> 10:50 PM) Beckham was fantastic at 3B in his rookie year. Saladino did a good job over there too.
July 29, 20169 yr Frazier seems replaceable. I'd rather take a modest return for him now, sacrifice his value this year & next.
July 29, 20169 yr QUOTE (NCsoxfan @ Jul 29, 2016 -> 10:09 AM) Frazier seems replaceable. I'd rather take a modest return for him now, sacrifice his value this year & next. Given what the Sox had between Crede and Frazier, and what they currently have in the minors, I disagree.
July 29, 20169 yr QUOTE (Black_Jack29 @ Jul 29, 2016 -> 11:29 AM) Given what the Sox had between Crede and Frazier, and what they currently have in the minors, I disagree. Depends on what they want to do. Rebuilding? Lawrie moves to third, Sanchez and Saladino at second. Can live with that in a rebuild. Contending? No way.
July 29, 20169 yr QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Jul 29, 2016 -> 10:34 AM) Depends on what they want to do. Rebuilding? Lawrie moves to third, Sanchez and Saladino at second. Can live with that in a rebuild. Contending? No way. I agree. Lawrie is a decent get-me-by at 3B for a rebuilding team, but doesn't hit with enough power to play 3B for a contender.

July 30, 20169 yr QUOTE (South Side Fireworks Man @ Jul 29, 2016 -> 08:16 PM) "Flu like symptoms." Sale had "flu like symptoms" as well
July 30, 20169 yr He probably did some stupid blow up so we can go on a winning streak again. Took one for the team
July 30, 20169 yr I'm sure it's nothing, but Frazier's wife just listed a bunch of furniture and decor on social media for sale saying it all "must go". However, it's from a location in KY, so could be a coincidence in timing. Edited July 30, 20169 yr by ChiliIrishHammock24

However, it's from a location in KY, so could be a coincidence in timing. If it was from a location in Chicago, I'd buy a possible trade. However, being a location somewhere other than Chicago would make me lean more towards extension than trade. I bet it doesn't mean anything though. Edited July 30, 20169 yr by soxfan2014
July 30, 20169 yr QUOTE (kevo880 @ Jul 30, 2016 -> 11:07 AM) I would guess it is their residence from when he played for the Reds. Probably this.
July 30, 20169 yr For those that don't know the area, Kentucky is quite literally the first exit south of the ballpark, and it is WAY cheaper to live in than Ohio.
July 30, 20169 yr QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 30, 2016 -> 09:28 AM) For those that don't know the area, Kentucky is quite literally the first exit south of the ballpark, and it is WAY cheaper to live in than Ohio. And way more fun too
July 30, 20169 yr Author QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 30, 2016 -> 10:28 AM) For those that don't know the area, Kentucky is quite literally the first exit south of the ballpark, and it is WAY cheaper to live in than Ohio. Being from Toledo, I drove through that many times. Had a detour and drove around the ballpark and back out. It's literally a hop, skip and a jump away.
July 30, 20169 yr Mets place Reyes on dl. He wasn't exactly doing good anyway. Maybe more motivation to swing a deal for Frazier?

July 31, 20169 yr Given that Frazier is on track to have his worst year in his career this year, it would be selling low on him. His fWAR by year since 2012: 2.6 3.1 4.7 4.4 0.9 I think he's more likely to rebuild his value, and be traded @ the deadline next year.
