A Sox win tonite guarantees a split in this series. Here is the TV and radio information for tonite's game. I guarantee it!:

Might be more eyes on Soxtalk watching Alec Hansens 1st start at Kanny than watching Sale against the Mariners. If Hansens start was televised I know there'd be more.

Just barely saw this thread in time to avoid starting one of my own.....

Is Melky hurt?

Is Melky hurt?

Hmm yeah I noticed he wasn't in the lineup last night, thought he might just be given a night off, but I thought the beginning of a 4 game series on a thursday would be an odd time to give one of your best hitters some rest. Maybe he is hurt.

I thought he balked. Stone disagrees.

Melky has the flu. Heck of a disciplined performance so far. Two pick offs and a blown bunt assignment.

I was hoping a trade was in the works.

Ball 5 to Anderson

Sale... was great in april and May

Pretty non spectacular since then.

They should sign Beltran (the 9th inning field charger) to a contract...at least he has good baserunning instincts.

Too bad they were unable to get Gary Sanchez before deadline. Have to think he's untouchable now. As for Sale, two straight years of way too high of an ERA for someone that's supposed to be the best pitcher in AL

One of the worst played games I have ever seen. Hell of a well-coached team

Well, think we now have a pretty good idea why the Red Sox weren't willing to trade Mookie Betts...

At any rate, this game was pretty much must-win with Seattle struggling to hold so many leads the past week.

Dare I say this has not been a well played game by the Sox

Sale is channeling his inner K machine days this game.

Has really good stuff tonight

It annoys me to no end that the Sox play horrible in front of a large crowd on a Friday night. I know it's Felix Hernandez, but still.

Brian Anderson hit two off Felix 11 years ago tonight. Ah, the good ole days.
