November 5, 20169 yr QUOTE (Middle Buffalo @ Nov 5, 2016 -> 08:48 AM) I'll check this out. I just finished "In the Dark." It was so well done - much more satisfying than Serial. Norm Macdonald's podcast is back. He's so offbeat that's it's always a fun listen In the Dark was good as well. I like those crime pods. Need more,
November 17, 20169 yr I started listening to a few different podcasts recently, and listened to the Joe Rogan experience yesterday, and his guests are Graham Hancock and Randall Carlson. Anyone interested in ancient civilizations, comet impacts, egypt, extinction events, you need to listen to this podcast. It is absolutely fascinating

November 30, 20169 yr Recently started listening to The Dollop which is pretty funny. The one guy reads an American history story, usually something crazy, and both he and his partner provide commentary/jokes throughout the story. Edited November 30, 20169 yr by BigSqwert

Like STranglers. Thought Crimetown was a tad dull but will listen when my other shows are caught up on.
December 1, 20169 yr Author QUOTE (Brian @ Nov 30, 2016 -> 01:01 PM) Like STranglers. Thought Crimetown was a tad dull but will listen when my other shows are caught up on. I agree. The nice thing is that both are ~30 minutes, so they go by pretty fast. I'm hoping Crimetown will get better. It was interesting to hear about the priest lying for the mob boss on the witness stand, but I'm not sure if it will get better. The story might be better than the story telling. I like Stranglers. I didnt know any of the details of The Boston Strangler prior to this. Side note on this one - it's so jarring to hear the way they drop commercials into the middle of this. One second they're describing a rape/murder, the next I'm being fitted for a Casper mattress.

Yes! I keep thinking a body will be found in the mattress or something. Need better production for that transition to promo.
December 1, 20169 yr On the Stranglers commercial break they mention another podcast called "Unsolved Murders: True Crime Stories". It's pretty good. It's like Stranglers meets a radio drama. I'm listening to the episode now about the Axeman of New Orleans. It's pretty creepy.
December 2, 20169 yr This is off topic, but if anyone has podcasting equipment or has a podcast, let me know. I'm trying to determine what to buy so a buddy of mine and I can do a podcast. There's some equipment on Amazon for $100. Also, I liked that podcast some posters did back in the day...Sox N Roll? I forget what it was called but it was the s***.

I forget what it was called but it was the s***. That kit on AMazon is probably the same one I bought over the summer. Only comes with one mic though so you'd have to buy another one separately if you're doing it with a friend. The mixer is really basic. I record interviews via skype so it is helpful there. And I have plugged my phone into it to do interviews as well.
December 2, 20169 yr Anyone recommend a good movie podcast? I listen to DC and bald move and tv shows and lots of sport podcasts, but I was looking for a general movie podcast that discusses upcoming movies and rumors on movie castings and reviews etc. thanks!
January 3, 20179 yr QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 15, 2016 -> 08:46 PM) My Favorite Murder I started listening to this based on your simple comment. I love the podcast but the production quality so far is tough to get through. The volume problem has gotten a little better after the first 6 or so episodes but the movement of the mics is really hard to listen to. Does this get any better?
January 9, 20179 yr www.mydadwroteaporno.com Maybe the funniest podcast i've ever listened to. My wife and I were laughing out loud listening to the first few episodes on a car trip this weekend.
