November 2, 20169 yr I know I am not the only one that has felt like the Cubs are destined to win this entire thing. We can look at the stats and what we think "should" happen all we want but if they are destined none of the stats even matter.

November 2, 20169 yr One of two things is going to happen: 1) The Cubs lose, and we'll be happy to see their stupid fans be disappointed once again. or 2) The Cubs win, and their bar is set for the next five years while part of their identity dies. It's not too much different than the White Sox or Red Sox. 88 years... 86 years... 108 years. A long time is a long time, especially when every living fan is seeing it for the first time. But the media has their narratives, and that's all that matters to them.
