Sale to BOS for Benintendi, Devers, Groome, Swihart & Ball

Quintana to HOU for Bregman, Martes, Paulino, Hernandez & Stubbs

Frazier and Jones to LAD for Bellinger, Barnes and Lux

Wow there is no way the Astros make that trade. If you want Bregman in a Quintana trade, it would probably be Bregman and Martes and no one else. Or Bregman and a couple guys in the back half of their top 10, but there is no way they give all of those pieces up if it's not Sale, and even if it is, they might not.

Frazier, fine, but they are downgrading immensely from Springer to Melky, especially defensively.

I'll call Atlanta, Boston, New York, LA, Washington, and about 15 other teams with my 40 home run hitting third baseman and Cy Young caliber starting pitcher then. You've got an opportunity here to get an ace who can carry you into the World Series and a proven power bat. Throw Marisnick out in center if you want defense but it's really not my problem.

Call me when you're ready to deal - my assets might be around still.

If Boston: Moncada, Benintendi, Devers, Kopech, Groome

If Atlanta: Swanson, Inciarte, Albies, Newcomb, Blair

If Yankees: Sanchez, Frazier, Torres, Andujar, Sheffield, Tate

If Washington: Giolito, Turner, Robles, Lopez, Cole, Fedde

If Dodgers (w/Puig): Urias, Puig, Bellinger, DeLeon, Alvarez

If Dodgers (w/o Puig): Urias, Bellinger, DeLeon, Alvarez, Calhoun, Lux

I know, "not realistic", but this is the type of return the White Sox need for Sale. I intentionally did not include Houston because my hope is they'll build a package around Bregman for Q. If all of these posts were on the table, I'd have a tough time choosing between BOS and NYY.

This is the better dodger package.

Agreed but Puig is intriguing nonetheless because if we can rehab him and get him to be the superstar he can be, then that's a jackpot for the Sox. We could also move him if we don't like his antics and he rebounds his value.

Even if his potential is realized I doubt you could find a better return than Calhoun and Lux.

First of all Q's surplus value is about 130m even if you consider bregman the #1 prospect in baseball that is only worth 73.5M, Martes is ranked #29 that puts his value at 29.8, Paulino is ranked #70 that puts his value at 16.5; that brings the total of those three "top 100" prospects to 119.8 million that still light for fair value not taking into account how thin the market is when people like Charlie Morton are getting paid what they are and the only top available arms via FA are Hill and Nova since Hellickson took the QO. Hernandez and Stubbs as additional throw ins make it very interesting and being to push near even of the 130 surplus value but that may even be considered and undervaluation.

So yeah I think you're wrong, and way underestimating Q's value. here the point of reference for those stated values by the way.

Pretty sure Rizzo gets fired if he traded Giolito, Turner, Robles, Lopez and Fedde for any MLB player

I will say that the Sox settle on one monster headliner and upside for Sale and do this:

Astros Receive:

LHP Chris Sale

White Sox Receive:

INF Alex Bregman

1B/DH AJ Reed

RHP David Paulino

OF Preston Tucker

OF Jason Martin

Here are a few more:

St. Louis Receives:

Adam Eaton and Dan Jennings

White Sox Receive:

OF Harrison Bader

3B Paul DeJong

RHP Jack Flaherty

RHP Sandy Alcantara

RHP Dakota Hudson

Los Angeles Dodgers Receive:

Todd Frazier and Zach Putnam

White Sox Receive:

2B/DH Willie Calhoun

RHP Jordan Sheffield

Boston Red Sox Receive:

RHP David Robertson

White Sox Receive:

C Blake Swihart

Texas Rangers Receive:

OF Melky Cabrera

White Sox Receive:

LHP Cole Ragans

Keep Abreu, Nate Jones, Quintana, Gonzalez for now.

Jesus those are gigantic packages haha. Sale is an amazing talent, but those packages are what would get a GM fired.

I'm actually not a huge fan of any of these trades to be honest.

Sale should return more than Bregman. Reeds' value is down after a rough 2016 at the mlb level. Paulino projects as a reliver, not starter. Preston Tucker and Martin are not great prospects. This would be a weak return

Eaton is more valuable than Bader + Flaherty and decent pitching/hitting prospects. I'm not parting with a 28 year old all star for that deal.

The Frazier deal is ok since he is a one year rental.

Swihart has had a ton of injuries and his defense at catcher is not great. Robertson should return more, possibly at the deadline?

Meh on the Melky deal

I hope you meant Kyle Tucker. Preston Tucker isn't really appealing and is, in my opinion, a DFA candidate if he does poorly to start the season.
