That's another one that probably belongs in the Democrat thread.

John Boehner Unchained

The former House speaker feels liberated—but he’s also seething about what happened to his party.

I'm guessing he's really, really glad he got out when he did.

Lamar Smith ®-TX is retiring

His district is pretty solidly R, but he's been in the House forever and has a lot of seniority.

Rand Paul's neighbor attacked him at his home, breaking five of his ribs.

That's crazy. Not a fan of Rand Paul, but I feel for him, and physical violence doesn't solve anything. I cracked a rib once. It's about as much pain as I have ever been in. I couldn't imagine 5. He's probably hopped up on some meds right now.

The fight was apparently a long-brewing feud over yard waste, leaves and bushes.

Even still - the guy breaks 5 of Paul's ribs and only gets the lowest misdemeanor assault charge? No one seems to have figured that out.

Popehat ran through the relevant Kentuck statutes on Twitter, it basically comes down to "seriously bodily harm" and intent

As a judge, Roy Moore cast the lone dissenting vote in an 8-1 decision essentially arguing against the legal premise of statutory rape.

Best headline I saw for this one:

"Extremely anti-LGBT politician caught having extremely pro-LGBT sex"

That gave me a good laugh.

Lead investigator Peter Stzrok changed the verbiage of Comey's description of HRC's mishandling of classified information.

I've read this story and can't figure out why the part about the changed verbiage matters. If they determined that there was no criminal wrong doing, then saying she was "grossly negligent" is wrong.

Secret super PAC backing Jones in Alabama exposed

A group that's spent more than $4 million on the Democrat's behalf is controlled by Washington interests, even as Jones has distanced himself from the national party.

Believe it or not, the media does actually do its job.

Wait. You mean DC Democrats want the Democrat to win the election??

The horror.

The typical NY Post and The Daily Caller don’t count on Hezbollah/Iran.

And if the best the GOP can do in 2018 and 2020 is attacking Obama and the Clintons, they’re in worse trouble than many thought.

For Trump’s sake, he better hope to avoid a recession in the next ten months and also that the health care market won't deteriorate so quickly and thoroughly that any benefits from the tax cuts in 2019 (along with decreased paycheck withholding) are already forgotten.

Roy Moore is suing to stop the certification of the election of Jones, despite his loss being triple the margin needed to trigger an automatic recount.
