Nothing wrong with looking ahead since Soto, Frazier, MiGo, Holland and Melky are free agents after this season. Seeing what kind of offers the Sox can get for Q, Robertson and Jones just makes sense for a rebuilding team.

I don't think it would be news that that is the plan. Hahn has made no secret of that.

The increase in merchandise revenue will be given to the Charlotte AAA franchise which will be forced to cancel the rest of their season due to lack of players.

I think you are overestimating what a Frazier rental would be worth on the trade market. Sox will likely take a B-/C+ prospect for him at this point, even with his improved play. Chavis has nearly a 1.000 OPS in the minors this season and is not likely to be dealt for a rental.

The only way I will accept this is if Guaranteed Rate Field or whatever is renamed to White Castle Stadium.
