We might catch Detroit, they are really really bad.

The four game series in Detroit is scary. A split would be nice.

Again, four losses per week, the Sox will have #3.

Sunday:

Won- Phillies, White Sox, Braves

Lost- Giants, Reds, A's, Tigers, Mets

Teams from 4th to 8th went 2-14 this weekend.

28 days left

Team (Games left) - Sox Magic Number to have higher pick:

1. Phillies(26) - 30

2. Giants(23) - 27

3. White Sox(27)

4. Reds(25) - 24

5. A's(26) - 24

6. Tigers(26) - 23

7. Mets(26) - 23

8. Braves(27) - 22

I think the one pick is gone to the Phillies. Now just make sure the A's or reds don't overtake you.

2 or 3 is a very nice pick but it would suck to fall to 4 or 5 because then the options and also the bonus pool money gets quite a bit worse.

I've pretty much given up on 1 or 2. The Sox would basically need to lose 10 in a row right now.

If the Sox go 11-16, then teams behind them would need these records to have a higher pick:

Reds 7-18

A's 7-19

Tigers 6-20

Mets 6-20

Braves 5-22

If I am not mistaken, standings are based on winning %, not just team wins. Soo....yes, I will continue to count both, as both as needed to determine standings, and thus draft order.

Standings are not based on winning %. A team that is 10-0 has the same winning % as a team that is 8-0, but one team is a game behind in the standing.

People keep talking about winning percentage, but unless there is a team that isn't making up games, all teams will eventually play 162 games for the season. Do any teams have games they aren't making up?

Not yet.

Worried about tigers. Ive been enjoying our good SP recently from young guys but our bullpen should be more of a dumpster fire and how is this lineup not terrible!

I know! We need a good ass kicking from the Indians for four days, and hope Bumgarner shows up on Friday.

Billy Hamilton walk off hr

Tigers lose again

Phillies lose, Sox lose, Reds win

A's Matt Olson with a 2 out 2-run hr in the 9th to tie it.

Fangraphs still has the Sox a game worse than the Giants for the 2nd pick.

They have 4 left with the Rockies, 6 vs Dbacks, 6 vs Dodgers

And 3 with the Sox and Padres

That's a pretty rough schedule

You have to admire how bad the 2013 white sox were when you see us trying to lose and may not even do it as effectively as that team.

Tigers ahead 5 - 1. Early.

Giants are down 6-3 in 7th, assholes.

Only down one now.

They've made it closer than I thought they would. Still three outs to work with.

That didn't last.

I'd be happy if the Sox stay at 3. I kinda think that will happen.

2 GB of the Giants for the 2nd pick

2.5 GB of the Phillies for the 1st pick

If we could only convince Cleveland to stick around a fw more games, I'm sure they wouldn't mind.
