It also blows my mind that his wRC+ is only 108. But that'll happen when you strikeout ~40% of the time and hardly ever draw a walk.

Minaya's been getting a lot of strikeouts. Needs to get his walks and grounders closer to the levels he had in the minors.

Bingo. Their offense is actually only slightly worse than league average. If they had the usual Sox starting pitching they'd be right in the thick of it. But, they don't.
