7/19 Game Thread: Dodgers @ Sox

Featured Replies

It hasn't been his problem tonight, but the Sox really need to find a good framing catcher to caddy for guys like Rodon & Giolito.

Yep.

Some team will get a steal when acquiring Melky

Get hot, Melky.

He's a 1 WAR player. I'll be thrilled to get an A ball lotto ticket.

Melky wants to be traded too!!

He's been extremely mediocre for such a highly touted individual. Guess not everyone can get a rotation spot and dominate like Chris Sale.

When you consider that the Cubs drafting one slot behind us on those years selected Schwarber and Happ, I'm starting to align with Theo's philosophy on NOT drafting pitchers with early round picks. I can understand the Rodon pick but selecting Carson Fulmer was shear ignorance.

Melky has fun playing baseball, so it's fun watching him.

Melky, SF and Philadelphia won. What's your problem?

The Dodgers are a juggernaut, man. Their organization goes like 35 deep with solid big league caliber players.

Rodon is a way more valuable asset than Schwarber

Rodon is aiming everything

Rodon is all over the place

He should be but the kid is just not getting it done

You mean in what is basically a spring training start?

It's uncomfortable to watch

He's starting to settle in.

It is incredible that he never gets a borderline pitch 3 years in.

Outside of Flowers, he's dealt with some brutal framing catchers. His command isn't good enough to overcome getting squeezed on the corners.

Sox officially won the trade. Incredible PA from Moncada. 2020 World Series championship confirmed.

Real nice few minutes there. Great electricity

Not bad work at all. Would have struck out if a computer was calling pitches, but 9 pitch walk after going 0-2? Rock & Roll.
